Default How many Corvette owners also have sport bikes?

While I have never owned a true exotic car, I have owned some fairly high performance cars apart from my current C7, including a C4, a C5, a twin turbo RX-7, a couple of Camaro SSs, and a Porcshe 911 Carerra. When I started riding sport bikes some years ago, my interest in higher performance cars waned because my need for speed was more than met by the performance from the bikes. In fact, by comparison, and short of a million dollar super car, you just can't get a road car that performs close to a modern sports bike. That said, I really fell for the C7 and had to have one. However, when I really want to get my speed jones satisfied, I take out my BMW S1000RR. My guess is that there are quite a few other Stingray owners with a fast bike or two in their garage.

I've had all kinds of cars from 10 second street cars to exotics, always had a bike as well and a boat.

Sold 2 Ducati's, 1 a Panigale R and the second a well built 848 converted to 1040 track bike. I was going to purchase another Ducati when the wife put the car bug in my ear. It has been years since I last had a performance car. I traded my 15 Z71 in and bought the '16 Z51. I look forward to driving this car more than I did riding my bikes!

I still have 4 bikes in the garage, but the Vette get most of my attention these days.

The reason for the switch, I took a big spill at NCM during one of the tracks first bike trackdays. Broke my back, torn my hamstring muscles in my right leg and right bicept. Now I have right drop foot. So I can't ride like I was used to, so the car is making up for the performance needs! Still can't heel/toe with right foot, but am looking forward to tracking the C7!

I have a Giant, carbon fiber 30 speed that is pretty sporty.... it suffers on some of the hills I ride due mostly to the engine's lack of horsepower.

Specialized Tarmac With full Ultegra (Non-Di). Just picked up a Roubaix for relaxed rides. Unfortunately, the engine for both is getting old and buying a new engine is not an option

Really sorry to hear about the spill. Hope you continue to heal to 100%. I traded a 899 Panigale on my S1000RR. I really am a Ducati fan and still have a Multistrada I use for touring. Love the sound of the 90 degree twin.

Traded in a 2013 Suzuki GSX-R1300 for the sport bike.

I stopped riding racing sportbikes in 2008, when my son began seriously racing dirtbikes, after he had a bad accident in 2012 I sold everything truck, toyhauler, bikes and equipment. Ended up with a 2013 Charger SRT8 Procharged and now my current toy 2015 A8 C7 with a few boltons.

I get what you are saying you need atleast 800RWHP in a Vette to hang with a litre bike on top end. Well maybe more for the new ZX-10 and S1000R.

I have an Aprilia Falco and a 93 VFR 750 commuter, I call it the family truckster. I've even hauled 5 gallon race fuel cans strapped to the back seat on her! Still have a GSX-R750 trackbike. But it is nothing like my 1040 was!

I drove a Suzuki Hayabusa until I turned 60, then picked up a Yamaha FJR1300. The FJR isn't as fast as the Bsua, but it's a hell of a lot easier on my back and wrists. For the water, I run a Fountain 38EC with twin 500HP's. Wonderful boat. Any Fountain owners out there?

Ahhhh, I miss this bike. But, as I get older, my back can no longer take it. My 13 Aprilia RSV4 Factory. Sold it to a guy who lived in Austin. This was my 13th bike in my lifetime and was easily the sickest of them all. Bought it back in 13, rode like 2500 miles then my back was like....dude, really? No more sport bikes. haha.

2013 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO and a 2014 EBR 1190RX here ...Atlanta area traffic getting worse and worse so don't ride them as much as I would like. Used to be able to commute on a MC to work but now its just all bumper to bumper stop and go traffic.

I've got a 2007 Ducati 1098s Tricolore with 2300 miles on it.

It's getting ready to move into my living room soon, though.

Define "sport bike."

By common definition, this probably doesn't fit, but it's still considerably quicker than my 'vette. Especially with some go-fast goodies from Dale Walker at Holeshot.

I've had, over the years, a number of "sport bikes," but my back and shoulders are no longer willing to put up the riding position.
