Excellent! My OEMs are still good with the tread but having these A/S run-flats available when the time comes for replacement will be great!
Hm... I may have jumped for joy too soon. Are these Run-Flats?

Caution, these don't appear to be ZP( zero pressure).
Information that I had from Michelin is that those would not be available until fall.
This is a quote from my contact at Michelin:
I can confirm that we will have the Pilot Sport A/S 3+ ZP (run flat) in sizes for the C7 Z51 (19" & 20"), C7 (18" & 19"), and even for the C6 Z06 (18" & 19"). We won't have the sizes for the C7 Z06 (19" & 20"), but it would interesting to gauge the interest from your Corvette forum for these.
The Pilot Sport A/S 3+ launches in many sizes in March of 2016, but these tires won't roll out until October 2016.
With 25 K on my oem tires I will be tippy toeing around until we're raking leaves.

Right now I'm running a set of the Original A/S ZP's on 18-19 wheels on my Z51.
Had them on my C6 year round and very happy with them.
Thing is I also have a set of Custom 19-20 wheels I want to put A/S Run Flats on.
But there's literally nothing in A/S Run Flats for 19-20 wheels.
On the other hand, I'm tempted to get these A/S 3 Plus when they're available

Speaking of run-flats (and I haven't seen this in any thread yet), no tire dealers in my city have my original Z51 tires in stock. If I get a flat that cannot be replaced (sidewall damage maybe), I would have to either park the car or drive around on the run-flat until the new one came in. My only other option would be to buy a new one now and keep it in the garage just in case. Anyone else have this problem in the past?

If you like to pay double, then get the run-flats. If you like a better ride and better handling then get non-runflats.
Carry a compressor and plug kit and you will never be stranded. Runflats do not offer the signifcant running ability that you might think... it's basically limp home capability ( which you can get with a compressor )
There are some occasions where you are toast regardless and you'll either have to be flatbedded... or just get a spare and keep it at home.

run flats have gotten me home 3 times with zero interruption (including at night) and then later to the tire shop. With no damage to the wheels either.
Yes they do. I had one that punctured the side wall pretty significantly after hitting a pothole and bled down to 10 psi. Another tire I had to drive and get plugged after a piece of wire got stuck in the tire. Both times I was able to drive to a tire shop to get one replaced and the other one plugged. No stopping on the side of the road trying to find the hole to plug or worry with the pothole damage that was not repairable with any plug.

According, to the information directly from Michelin, the initial launch will not include any ZP versions of this new offering. They have stated that the ZP Corvette sizes will be coming in Phase II, which is tentatively scheduled for October 2016.

OK, the tires are available in non-flat sizes now except for the Z51. The Run Flats will come out in October. Still, this is good for me as my OEMs are fine right now and will last me long past that date.

What's What, here?
Luke, I purchased from tire rack a few weeks ago the same AS3 in 19 and 20 inch ZR tires. Are these run flats or not? They were sold as run flats.

Launch date for the new A/S 3+ was advertised as March of this year; this from the Michelin tech boys that spoke in the Corvette Corral tent at the last ALMS race at COTA and confirmed by Rick Malone at the Ron Fellows COS just this last Nov.
The Michelin web site has the fronts (Z51's) available NOW! I would expect the rears to follow soon.

Your example is why when it comes time to replace my tires I will replace them with run flats. The fact is this car, especially base models, do not have the option to use a tow hook so it's very risky to have the car loaded onto a flatbed without sustaining damage.

I suspect that they are not Zero Pressure / runflat tires but, to be sure allow me to double check ... Do you have an order number?
