Default How tell the model years apart

I there any quick and easy way to tell if a car is a 14,15 or 16 ?

I know that the 16's have the flat bottom steering wheel, but a lot of guys are changing theirs to the flat bottom one.

Also the 16's if they are a 2 or 3LT will have the camera's in the grill.

Any other ways ?

The best way is to simply look at the VIN. The 10th digit will be (may be easier to consider this the 8th digit from the right):

2014 - E
2015 - F
2016 - G

SN is likely the only reliable way...
But (for now, until aftermarket solutions appear) a couple things particular to 14's:

14's will not have a camera in front of the rear view mirror.
If you get inside, no PDR,
the radio will have HD,
And only one page of apps.
14 was the only C7 year for CGM paint.
Haven't read about anyone with a later year repainting a previous years color.

Mine will always be recognized as a 14, but I have 16 OEM chrome rims.

The '16s with carbon-flash badges have black center caps on black wheels, that is unless you have a previous year like I do that have been changed out.

2014 Z51 have unique air dams under the bumper. They are cut at a 45 degree angle. 15-up no longer get these angle cut inner edges and are just straight.

Incidentally, You also can't buy correct replacement pieces for a '14, but rather have to modify the 15-up ones to match what the factory installed.

They now sell after market Z06 parts to fit your base or Z51. As far as it's going down the road then there's no way to tell.
