Default Exposed carbon fiber hood??

Just wondering how many here have or have ordered the exposed carbon fiber hood insert. We have it on our 2016 DSOM with the exposed carbon fiber roof. We have been to a number of Corvette car shows, cars and coffee days and cruises and so far have only seen them on 3-4 others.

I'm also looking for a hood vent in the carbon fiber to match up with the direction and weave of ours.

For me personally I don't like the look of the carbon fiber insert next to the Carbon Flash Metallic hood vent, (IMO) it looks like mismatched socks.

Then again, to each their own.

I'd need to have both the same.

I also would have prefered it to be the hood be quality CF and then paint part of it instead of gluing on a visible insert on top, then painting it. Which some complain of having a thin line of primer showing between the two.

i really enjoy mine, though it did suck me in to continuing the theme with the roof, seats, dash, even center caps

I'm happy with mine and have gotten over wanting to change a bunch of stuff to cf to match it. I think it looks great and get lots of compliments on it.

I love mine. Best option i purchased.
Looking at it next to a car with the sticker stinger, makes the cars with the sticker look cheap.

Love mine! I'm glad I purchased both and I get lots of comments about them. I only wish I would have purchased the carbon fiber dash.

Love mine! Would like to hear of any other Laguna Blue owners with it.

Pictures don't do it justice...you have to see it in person.

I wanted it in my build but it came down to what options I ultimately wanted within my budget.

Have yet to see one in person with this option. Looks mighty fine from the pics.

Go to the Parts Counter at your Chevy dealer. The CF dash is about $500. It can be installed in about two hours following the video on YouTube. That's what I did.

I love the way it looks especially on DSOM! All you need to do, if you want it to match the hood vent is buy the CF vents sold by vendors on this site (only 5 bills).

I wish they had that option when I ordered my Z! Looks great Gene!

Hey Jon!
I've checked with a few forum vendors and I haven't had good results so far ! Either the finish doesn't match or the weave is going in the wrong direction or the angle of the weave is not even close 😞😞.
Closest so far is a vendor in NY. the price he gave first didn't include shipping. Then a added price if I wanted to keep the original which wasn't mentioned before then a price for shipping that was WAY OVERBOARD.

Not as easy to find as I thought it would be 😞😞.
