Default Navigation unit

It appears the only way to get NAV in a C7 is upgrading to the 3LT package. Is this true? If true, is there a way to get it in a 1Lt or 2LT? Hate to spend all that money for the 3LT for just to get NAV.

Don't have to get 3lt to get Nav. Go to the Corvette Build Your Own site.

You have to add the PDR to the 1LT/2LT .. then it comes with NAV.

The PDR adds $1,000 to the price of navigation. Unfortunately you can't get navigation without it.

PDR and Nav together are I believe $1795. I've paid that for Nav alone on a couple of cars.

The nav listed for $795 in 2014. I am thinking about trading for a 2017. I currently don't think much about the PDR and may seldom use it. Something to play with maybe an option that will be used more than I think?

I just ordered a new 2016 2lt skipped the Nav. With the apple play feature using google maps all transfers to the Bose screen. For me it was no brainer saved $1795 I think was the option. Had Nav in my 07 3lt don't remember using it more than 5 times in 9 years
Just my $.02

I never use the PDR except just to see if it worked, nor the NAV in this '16. PDR a fun toy, I see its value on the track but I dont track the car.

I actually use carplay/iphone for trips since I use it in my truck all the time so I'm used to it. GM NAV is 'meh' at best.

Apple Car Play; Can you leave the nav display in view all the time? Where is it getting the navigation information, does it use the phone system and eat up minutes?

I normally have the navigation display in view all the time, it shows potential problem areas, names of towns/rivers, points of interest and alternate routes at a glance.

Apple Car Play nav uses the data plan on your phone (not the talk minutes). It can use up a good amount of data if you leave it on all the time. Same as if you use the Apple Maps on the phone without CarPlay.

The factory nav uses GPS and maps built into the car.
