Default Value of stock 2016 Z07 package stock wheels (worth keeping?)

I picked up my new corvette and about 50 miles in realized it has basically street legal racing slicks.

It has from the factory chrome wheels with these tires.

I live in Lincoln, Nebraska and in the morning with colder streets and what not it feels a little greasy (wheel spin) around corners with the lightest throttle and if I get on it at all going straight. I don't get crazy but I just noticed it.

I just got some new OEM black wheels and dealer recommended some some MICHELIN PILOT SUPER SPORT ZP TPC SPEC, RUN FLAT tires.

My plan was to sell the stock rims/tires and make well (or better) selling them since the tires have very low miles on them.

Then I got this lecture from my father in law who collects cars telling me that since its a somewhat limited edition (laguna blue z07 package) that its a collector car if I keep it long enough and it would have more value with the stock wheels.

So basically my question is - is it more valuable to keep the wheels rather than sell them now?

when you sell everyone wants the original wheels on the car. I always keep them and put them back on the car when I sell it.

My opinion? It will be easier to find a buyer if it's all stock, as opposed to changed out parts. Changed out parts creates an "excuses car". Better to have a "no excuses" car when it's time to sell.

Keep them, easier to sell the car as OEM.
As a collector car you will need to wait about 50 years for that to happen, and to make any real money on it you will need to park it now.
Forget saving it for someones collection and do as you wish with the car, it's made to be driven and enjoyed.
