Default My Corvette Bash pictures April 27th-29th, 2016-Mike@Criswell

~One of the great Corvette events of the year (and there are many) is held at the Corvette Museum every 4th weekend of April and if you haven't attended then you need to put it on a list to make it happen. Viewing hundreds of Corvettes is one thing but meeting all your fellow Corvette enthusiasts is what it's all about! I had a tour of the Corvette Plant and a special meeting with the Plant Manager Kai Spande. John E and Jeremy W set this up and so glad I was included. Wednesday eve was dinner for 18 at the Montana Grille and Mr Hoffman of Vermont was our host. Wonderful dinner and great Corvette talk at that table! Thursday after the Plant tour headed over to the Museum and we got to officially view all the new colors on display. Admiral Blue and Watkins Glen Gray will be HUGE sellers this year. I was surprised how much I and everyone else liked Black Rose on the C7...but then again, every color looks good on the C7. C7 Black Rose is a bit different then when it was on the C4 in the early '90's. More dark grape. Sterling Blue is lighter than Carlisle Blue from 2012. I think it will look great with Twilight Blue interior. But I'm a bit biased as I love Twilight Blue interior...hence the reason I now own a '16 Z06 Cpe in Laguna Blue...I ordered it with Twilight Blue interior.
Thursday eve we had the Corvette Forum dinner at Montana Grille and we had approx 50 show up for some fine food and BJ from Atlanta did a great job putting it together. Friday morning at 6:29am (had to beat the rush) the StingrayForums Breakfast was coordinated by John E and and the Wild Eggs establishment was ready for about 30+ of us early risers that woke up early. Fantastic time was had by all. I can see this growing! John and I attended the 2017 Corvette meeting and learned all about the many options and features discussed by Harlan Charles and Kirk Bennion. After that I met up with many customers thru out the Country, some I had never met before as we had done the deal over the phone and delivery was off site. I said my sad goodbyes and headed to the airport...another Corvette Bash in the books. Enjoy the pictures. I have downloaded many videos and pictures on my CorvetteFurman Facebook page, check them out.

This guy really wants the approval to get a Grand Sport...

David Tsurusaki and I. David is with Mobil 1 and we first met at Lemans 2011. He does a fantastic job.

Hard to find two finer people. Beth and BJ from GA with their Laguna Blue and Brownstone Convt.

Thanks Mike. Although it would have been better if you hadn't soiled it with BJ's mug. LOL.
Enjoyed the pictures, the new colors are nice and the cars looked great.

Mike - Very nice pictures.
the more I see that Admiral Blue, the more I agree with you - it will be a big hit, far outselling Laguna Blue.

So much better in person. It has the ability, depending on light refraction, to change color. It will look black, copper bronze, even blue. It was interesting to watch as the clouds would pass over head with the intermittent sunlight. With a gray/black interior the car would be killer.

Good job Mike looks like a great event and another item added to my bucket list. I was just down to your dealership last Wed. to test drive the 2016. Placed the order for the new one the same day. Trading in my 07 coupe and being my 1st Corvette comes with some mixed emotion. That only lasted until I drove the new one. Being here on the forum for the last 9 years and a customer of Tony's Corvette Shop where he has done a few mods for me, you and Criswell came highly recommended and true that! Thought maybe I would meet you but I see now The Bash must have been where you were. Any way I was well taken care of.. Well the new one, hopefully you'll see around the end of June (seems like 100 yrs from now) comes in maybe we'll run into each other upon taking delivery.

Thanks, Mike. Great pics. I'll plan to make the next one.

Agree with Vettman about the white GS with the blue stripes. Just need a convertible version...
