After reading the forum since the introduction of the C7, it seems most issues other than the occasional lemon, were relatively minor.
2014: connector cable for infotainment system was the most common, sluggish infotainment response, roof issue
2015: some transmission issues with A8, sluggish infotainment, roof issue
2016: no issues reported, infotainment processor was improved, apple car play/ android auto capability added, front cameras added, power hatch/deck lid pull down added

After years of research and reading this forum, I have concluded that the number one problem with the C7, when there is one, is the loose nut behind the wheel.
We tend to be a fussy, thin skinned whinny bunch.

My '14 has 23,000 miles on it. The fit and finish is very good. The only time my Vette has been to the dealer is for oil changes. My Vette was delivered during the end of May 2014.

2015 No issues, no problems. If the C7 was not a quality sportscar you would know it from many sources. The sales and excitement around the looks, performance, and overall quality are there.
Looking for exceptions you will find a few but they do not represent the majority.

I have a 15 Coupe. I really like it. I have had the A8 transmission programming updated but the issue between first and second or third gears still exists. Its like it doesn't move to the next gear smoothly.

There was a recall on the fuel filler neck anti theft screen for a few 2014s, think most have been accomplished. Other than that my 2014 has been problem free.

2014 3LT base model, s/n 12,206, delivered 2/19/14. 10,489 miles.
Valve cover gasket oil leak. Replaced gasket. No problems.
Infotainment screen partially blanked out. Replaced, no problems since.
Roof pins replaced due to noise.
Loose nut behind the wheel....still loose....
Other than those minor problems the car has been great.
Good luck with your search.
