I took a ride yesterday and parked in my driveway with the car unlocked. Went inside and a few minutes later heard the alarm. I went out and turned it off but don't see how it could have happened. Nobody was around and besides the doors weren't locked anyway. Never did that before. Just have a 1LT base so it is the basic alarm.

Key fob in your pocket? Might have had another object in your pocket push the panic button.
I have had this happen with my lighter pushing the button.

My sunshade has moved and set the alarm off.

I've had my suction cup mounted radar detector drop from the windshield when it was facing the sun (fortunately I installed a thin braided wire tether so it just hangs from the top molding.) The alarm goes off and there is a warning in my display when I get in the car! Has happened about 4 or 5 times in 2 1/2 years.

I have had some weird alarm experiences. This happened multiple times, but not every time. Drop of the wife at some store, and I sit in the Vette listening to tunes. Push the button to turn off the motion sensor. The dash confirms the motion sensor is off. Lower windows. Turn off engine. I don't think the door auto locks or I would hear the click. Radio is playing on RAP. Alarm goes off a few minutes later. Not sure if it is because the car sees that my wife's fob is no longer in range, but in all cases, the motion sensor was definitely off.

Might have been something in my pocket. I don't think 1LT has a motion sensor.

My guess is also on the panic button on the fob being pushed.
