Differences between C6 and C7

Chevrolet uses the Cx nomenclature to differentiate the various generations of the corvette platform. C7 is the current generation.

The C7 is a much better handling, better performing, nicer platform all the way around.....
I put 128,000 miles on my C6..... I now have approaching 30K on my C7 - would not go back to a C6 - and yes, I liked my C6 for what it was...

The only way to really see and feel the difference is to drive it. I loved my C6...until I got behind the wheel of the C7. It's just more "polished" all the way around. From the better quality interior, seats, fit and finish, high tech LCD screens, much better sound system to the ride quality...it's just an overall better experience. You won't miss the C7 until you get into and drive it...then it's like the C6 is yesterday's news.

From his only other post:
How is this even a question if you work for a Chevy dealer?
Hello everyone, my names obviously Joe and I am currently working at Mac Haik Cheverolet in Houston. Next to my desk is a white z06 with red interior. Beautiful peace of machinery for sure. I know more about corvettes than the average person but I have become more intrigued by them and would love to know them inside and out. The history etc. For example dont laugh but what is a c6 or c7?

Perhaps he wants to know the designation for the model years:
C6= cars built between 2005-2013
C7: cars built 2014 - current

This thread is a classic example of the merit of the members of this forum. Coming from a BMW M3 (as well as a member on their respective forums), the OP would have been bashed by at least 75% of the responders. Keep it classy fellas.

I'm gonna get flamed, but I don't think the C7 was a major improvement over the C6 after testing the C7.
I think the stiffer frame and rev matching manual transmission were the only upgrades that I appreciated, although I know the E-diff is nice piece of engineering.
The MSRP increase for those minimal improvements is absolutely ridiculous.
Looks and interior opinions are subjective.
