After a week (maybe more) of me waving and no responses, and feeling a bit discouraged, I got a wave tonight! From a C7!

I waved back, I hope the driver saw me!

I'm in So Cal and get the wave most of the time. Today I got one from a guy in an black XLR and a double horn beep from a white C7.

Do you do the duck lips too while doing it?

Wife and I both wave. I have also found that a lot of Harley riders give me the thumbs up. Both are American icons so I get it.

I even wave at Corvettes when I'm driving my Audi or Jeep.

I think that 'part' of the reason some folks don't wave is they are not TRUE Corvette folks like the majority of us are here on the Forum. We UNDERSTAND, they just have a car they think is sharp and don't understand all that comes with it.....or they could just be rude snobs!

I do that, or go to do that (like this morning) and get puzzled looks from the Vette drivers, LOL, I need a sign that says "My other car is a Vette, Wave Back!"

OR maybe they're paying attention to traffic and not looking at an oncoming lane that can't impact them. It happens. I wave at every Vette I see. But sometimes I'm busy dodging folks who are paying attention to their Iphone or changing lanes in front of me. Then I might not see a Vette coming the other way. I've had it happen to me in reverse, I can see they're focused on traffic. No big deal. Still my wave return rate is about 50% or more.
And for those who think the wave is dying, I'd estimate the wave return rate is about the same as when I purchased my first two Vettes back in the 70s. Folks thought the wave was dying back then too

I wave when I'm out on my bicycle. They understand I'm a Vette owner also by just giving the the "V" sign for the V eight.

we're new at this too, but during our sunday drive , someone held up a V over the steering wheel..i said it was a peace symbol/how did he know that I am an old hippy? my wife said it was a V because of the wings on the front. She insisted that i use the V too! so i pulled into the kangaroo and bought her a cup of ice and a mini bottle of wine I told her i just flash my lights because it's quicker.
