Default 2015 top on 2016 C7

I just bought a 2015 top for my 2016 c7. I am told its going to be an issue with the top cause its built before September of 2015. Anyone know about this? Thank you

Yes, the older roofs squeak. They put new hardware on them to eliminate this. There's a chance yours will make noise.

Thank you sir. So I dont have to worry about it falling off or anything right? Maybe I can get chevy to swap the pins at no charge.

As far as I could tell, they just changed the material some of the stuff was made of, but I don't know exactly what was involved. There was a sticky here with the tsb in it describing what was done.

All C7 roofs are interchangeable. New hardware was added on late '15+ to minimize speaks. Your roof will not fall off providing that you make sure to close the latches, as some have forgot to do so, which resulted in a few flying roofs...

If the 15 roof has white pins then it has the newer hardware. My 15 built 1st week of June had the white pins. Not sure when they started using them.

I checked the TSB. It was whit pins and different handles. I have owned some real piles of junk before so some squeaking wont be a big deal until I change the pins. Thank for the help. I wanted to just make sure it will fit.

It's just the pins and striker blocks (the front blocks on the windshield frame that the latches lock down on). Since your blocks are new you would just need the pins on the new top. Call your dealer and they will order them for you and you will just return the old.
