I bought an extra set of front Z26 P/N Z26-1474A (Extreme pad only kit) that I will be putting up for sale. I bought two sets, was going to stay with OEM rotors, but mine were too worn. I ended getting the full Extreme Kit. Never opened the box, will make a for sale thread later on, but if anybody wants these I'm just looking to get what I paid.

I was also in same boat, reading about all these people ranting and raving about the Carbotech pads. I'm not saying anything bad about them but I just refused to pay that kind of money on brake pads especially since none of these are "performance" pads. I think you'll be completely satisfied if you end up trying the powerstops.
Completely agree. I replaced the OEM pads on my Z06 with the Power Stops AND I coated the wheel barrels and the wheel face with Opti-Coat - the combination of the two cut the dust by about 95% . What dust is there hoses off without any scrubbing required. I cannot perceive ANY difference in braking performance (I am running street only). I paid about $250 total for BOTH the evolution pads and the Opti-coat (which I applied to the entire car).

New convert here. Have a new C7 on a road trip. Replaced OEM pads at 850 miles because my silver painted wheels looked like they had never been washed after a 150 trip. Have now put on 900 additional miles with very little dust. Actually have to swipe my finger across the wheel to tell if its dirty. Only one episode of squealing at a low constant speed through a parking lot. Once I hit the brakes a bit harder - it stopped. I paid approx. $150 for all four direct from Power Stop. Highly recommend trying these. Now watching total life of pads.

Are you using the Evolution or Extreme pads? Can anyone confirm the correct part numbers for each to fit a Z51 front and rear??

Using the Extreme. Here are the part numbers you need.
> FRONT : Z26-1474A

Note: I am running with my buddy who uses the Carbo Techs on a C7. No comparison. These pads produce much less dust than his. The Carbo Techs are much better than the OEM pads, the Stop Techs are much better than the Carbo Techs as far as brake dust.

Yes, the CarbonTechs dust less than the OEM ones but they still dust horribly.

Anyone use these Power Step Z26 Pads? How do they compare performance wise and dust wise? Any squealing issues?

I figure these are pretty inexpensive at $120 for a set of four and if I am not happy I can always put the CarbonTech's back on. But I would like to hear other member experiences before I bother. They don't seem to be peddled here like the CarbonTechs even though the reviews on various auto parts web sites seem to say good things about them at least for street use. I guess they are not track rated and don't have a Corvette Tax so they are not peddled here?

Please, no comments like "just put up with the dust", or "5 seconds cleans them", or similar. If you have these Power Stop Z26 installed, please post your experiences otherwise please go flame elsewhere.

Thank you in advance.
I have these installed on my 2005 Silverado 2500 HD and they are great. No squealing, no (or very low) dust. Braking power is very good.

Don't know if I was the first in the C7 crowd to put them on, but I may have been the first to post in CF about my experience with them.

http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...post1591205375

http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...post1592191870

OP, you will not be disappointed. I've used the 1521 and now the Z26. Braking performance is identical to OEM Z51 with both for street use (can't comment about track). Dust with the Z26 is almost non-existent after hundreds of miles between wheel washings. While the 1521 was far better than OEM, the Z26 is 90% less than even the 1521. It's to the point where I truly don't notice, and I have NOT treated my wheels with anything.

I will post an update soon...just got some black Z06 replicas for my Z51 that I need to get mounted. That will be the true test of dusting...

And as others have posted with part #s, the Z26 price is hard to beat!

Another option is the OEM non-Z51 pads. Another CF member with a Z51 has done this and reported essentially no brake dust. Makes sense since non-Z51 folks don't complain about it.

Yep, that would be me...
Been running with VETTEKEDC7 for 3 days now.
Will be replacing the 1521 Bobcats with Power Stop Extreme when we get home.
Much less dust with the Power Stop.

I'm curious what the difference is between the "Extreme" and the "Revolution" pads are? What are the correct Z51 part numbers for the Revolution pads? The Revolutions are ridiculously cheap.

If you haven't purchased your Z26 pads yet, I have a set of fronts (all hardware) ready to ship, still in Power Stop box unopened. If you wanna, you can PM me and work a deal. This set can be at your doorstep by the time your fun-run is over.

Thanks.. I'm looking for the least amount of dust possible, The Evolution Clean Ride pads for the front are a mere $23.99 at Jegs! Can these possibly be any good at that price? I must say I'm tempted to try them. That's insanely cheap.

Has anyone run the Z26 Power Stops long enough to have a feel for how "rotor friendly" they are? I know that's a real subjective visual judgement, but any comments?

Thanks,
Ernie

Went ahead and ordered all 4 Power Stop Z26 pads last night. Still curious how the lower priced Evolution Powerstops work against the brake dust battle, but figure enough people have used the Z26 series with good results I wasn't gonna take a chance with anything else. At less than 122.00 shipped for all for from Jegs it was a no brainer.

Well, you guys sold me. I ordered a full set of the Z26 Extremes for my '16 Z51 car. Life is just too short to have to clean the wheels after every drive or 2. They are coming from Rock Auto Friday and I may have time to get 'em on over the weekend. I'll keep the OEMs in case I ever get the itch to go to the track.
