I just did a test for brake dust on my ZO6 using Carbotech 1521 on the right side of my car and Powerstop Z26 on the left.
Here is the link to the results.

And for anybody on the fence, there's a $30 rebate through June 20 now for the Z26 or Z23:

Plenty of good testimonials on here to convince me to order a set as well. Can't wait to install them and have rims that actually stay clean longer...

After a month of ownership I'm sold on purchasing these pads. The brake dust is insane....and I don't ride my brakes hard.

I think the rebate is only if you buy a brake kit which includes the rotors,
but without the rebate it is still a great price.

Yes, no coupons, codes, or secret handshakes... the PowerStops are less than $125 SHIPPED to your door in a day or 2, and install easily. Best upgrade I ever made to my vette. Wish I would have known about these when I had my SS Camaro, as it was a brake dust making machine too, and always just dealt with it. No need to anymore with PowerStop Z26's. Get a set!

Going all in. Ordered a set for the Vette and a second set for my daily. Not bad for 200 shipped.

I'm ready to order a set too. How did you end up paying $200 when they are available from Jegs and auto anything for about $125? As noted by others, that rebate surely says it's only if you purchase the whole Kit which include new rotors.

Yeah, I didn't read it too close. But still a great deal @ $125 shipped.

Yes I agree, finally a company that's not overcharging because it's for a Corvette.

Yes, the second set is for my other car which isn't a Corvette. Figured if they are good enough for street use on a Vette, then they would do just fine on a Mazda 6.

I usually just clean them when I wash my car. They do squeal every now and then, but lately they've been fine. I'm not sure how long they will last. I could always just start braking harder to make them wear faster.

PowerStops do not squeal at all, and according to folks who have used both, they produce less dust than Carbotechs. I can speak from experience that stopping power is great, and while I haven't performed any scientific tests, they feel identical to my OEM pads when I step on the pedal. The only difference is my wheels and the sides of my car aren't covered in brake dust.

I went with Z23 pads. Same as Z26 except the 23s have a rubberized backing plate instead of the stainless steel backing plate on the 26s.
$87 shipped.

Second of all Carbotech is a 100% made in the USA not the cheap china stuff. Carbotech is a small brake pad manufacture that has 12 employees and do there best to provide HIGH QUALITAY BRAKE PADS to the consumer. A lot of people on this forum claim corvette tax that's not it. Its the cost of doing small business in the USA. And than people go and support the Chinese by buying there inferior brakes pads to save a $100 bucks but don't care about there safety to save $100.

There is no such thing as a dustless brake pad... They would not work. Carbotech 1521 is a low dust street pad that provides OE performance with lees dust. I doubt this power stop china stuff could hold a candle to the 1521 and that's my rant.....

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.
A $100, your crazy, Carbotechs are over $300, that's 3 times more then Power Stop, I'll take the better designed Power Stops!
