Dash Seperation
Just curious, would an extended warranty cover the dash issue? I have a 2015 with only 3,500 miles on it. It has always been garaged and never sits in the sun. It has a couple of large bubbles right near the left side over the heads-up display opening. The extended warranty is genuine GM.

sorry I'm not more help but I have read both...depends how much the dealer is willing to support the claim (and maybe their standing in the GM food chain)...good luck, it's ironic (again I have read) that some people have replaced the leather with the plastic 1LT dash as it has proven impervious to similar conditions....my '14 Z51 conv. being so "blessed", especially on warm days with the top down and sun beating on it.

Many seem to think 3LT dash issues are caused entirely by the sun/heat, however there's quite a few owners such as yourself who have reported 3LT dash issues
for C7s that have not had exposure to the sun.
Hope you are able to get this resolved without too much angst and expense.

My guess would be the warranty will not cover the dash, but you have absolutely nothing to lose by asking.

I would say no to that dash issue being covered by the warranty, the C6 cars suffered from the same condition

The 3LT dash issue is a combination of leather shrinkage and the poor adhesive GM used. That said, I truly recommend periodically using Leatherique oil on the dash. I swear by it. It can halt the issue and improve the current state. Mine starting coming up in a few spots and it halted it and actually improved the condition. All leather will shrink over time unless it is periodically treated. Do not use leather conditioners that are store bought. This is a restorative oil that Pentwater and is absorbed in the seams as well. If you start using this early you will eliminate the issue, at least to a very large extent. Preventative maintenance. I have been using it for 20 years...including my 1979 Porsche 928 leather dash (original) which you will never find one in immaculate condition...except for mine. Well worth the $40 for a bottle.
