Hi All,

Long-time member, but I've been away for a number of years since I sold my '06 C6 Z06. I'm thinking it's time to return home.

This time, it will be a convertible.

I'd get a convertible if they offered a Merc SL style hardtop. Until then I do fine with the targa option.

Just completed Museum Delivery last Thursday of my base convertible A8. What an amazing day at the Factory and NCM. The drive home to PA was even better. I've been lurking around the Forum for the past 10 months and glad I can join in the discussion now that I have my car.

I just sold a SLK Amg 55 hard top convertible. Fun car but the new rag tops are just as good. I think MB is going back to a soft top also.

Hell yeah. All of my Vettes have been verts.

I didn't know they made Vettes that weren't verts.

One thing that has me puzzled is why GM never put a roll bar system of some kind on the Corvette. I don't know of any $60K+ car today that doesn't have something even seat hoops would be better than nothing. GM never seems to make any extra effort when it comes to safety features on Corvette. No roll bars no collision avoidance system no blind spot monitoring etc. All of the above features are as common as paint on cars in the near six figure price arena but not Corvette.

Although I've owned several vette's I've never owned a 'vert before. That will change early next year as I plan to order a white with blue interior and blue top 3LT. I'm looking forward to having a 'vert as I live in Florida and it's year round top down weather there (except when it rains).

Default All convertibles!

On my 6th Corvette. All convertibles...and otherwise fully optioned. Z-51, too, since it has been available.

Would NOT consider a Corvette without Z-51...and a folding top. That is an absolute.

Peace, out.

Always Red Dave... When you convince the Corvette Racing Team to change color schemes to RED I will join your side! Until then everyone here knows deep down Yellow is the best & fastest Corvette color!
