Default Grand Sport color dissapointment

very depressing. I could not wait for the new colors to be announced, so I could be one of the first to order the grand sport conv. Like a little kid I was so happy with a color called sterling blue. With only seeing a picture from the bash, I was one of the first in the country to send a deposit to the #one dealer, knowing he will get the car I want. Now asking those that were at the bash to describe the color. They all say the same, nobody likes it. Looks yustlike blade silver with a blue tint hardly noticed at times. G M you should be ashamed of yourself for your choices. I am not crying just trying to prove a point. Guess I will get my deposit back do not like any color enough to spend $80,000. You took away great colors for these replacements.

Not everyone has the same view of the colors, I like the Sterling Blue. Yep, lots of silver with a blue cast to it, order it with the Twilight Blue package and it would really be nice.
That is why we have choices, there are colors that I don't care for that you might love and the reverse is true. Might want to wait until you see it for yourself, even though that would cause a delay in your getting the car.

You've complained that you don't like any of the offered colors, so, what colors do you think they should have added or done away with?

Good luck with getting that deposit back.

What great colors are you referring to? NRB? DSO? Or maybe LRG? The other colors are pretty typical. None of the above 3 colors sold well. If they had, they would still be around.

The only one might be Shark Gray - which actually was a very big seller - Number 3 or 4 depending upon year.

I really don't get this one. The most popular vette colors are Red, White, Black. If they took one of those colors away, I could see an issue. If they took silver away, I would be upset as it's my personal favorite, but I would then fall back to white or gray. I'm shaking my head with this one... Surely you didn't put down a deposit before the car is even out and then cancel because a few people at the bash didn't like your color choice.

I think both 2017 blues are downgrades from what was available in 2016, don't like them either. As always vote with your wallet.

I agree. Looking back at the C5, you could only get the Z06 in certain colors. I like that GM is now allowing all C7 models; Stingray, Grand Sport, and Z06 access to the full color and interior options list.

Outside of Red, White, and Black, GM is always going to be tinkering with the other colors available. Heck, we're now on our third gray paint going into the fourth year of C7 production. The silvers, blues, yellows, and dark reds have historically been tinkered with through a generation run and the niche colors like green and purple usually only run for a year or two.

Nothing new here in terms of GM marketing. In fact, I like that there are so many different options with the C7 and it will probably only get better with the new paint facility opening in 2017.

It's all about marketing. GM is appealing to both new owners and existing owners who want to trade up to a different model or color. A friend of mine was sitting on the fence for a new Z06 and after realizing Laguna Blue was being phased out, made the jump and ordered his new 2016 Laguna Blue Z06. I think it's great that GM allowed him the window to make the decision after announcing the new blue colors for 2017.

Besides, Torch Red, Arctic White, and Black never go out of style!

Nothing wrong with Blade Silver Metallic with Twilight Blue Design Pkg.

Sterling Blue combined with Blue Top, Twilight Blue interior would be stunning.

Have to agree on this....recently sold my NRB C7 and am vetteless for the 1st time in over 12 yrs. One of the reasons I decided to take a breather was I grew tired of the color choices...

How can you make a decision on a color without actually seeing it?

I agree. That's what I love about Corvette shows. Easy window shopping without a sales person following you around.

You heard "Sterling blue" and expected something different than delivered? It's about as accurate of a color name as it gets.

They took colors that weren't selling well and dumped them for something different. The only one that is questionable is Laguna blue but I expect that the numbers are trending down towards the end of 2016 production.

Considering all the stripe packages they are offering I find it hard to believe you can't find a combo to your liking

I think it will be a color that will grow on you . I believe that after people put their order in there is a lot of second guessing. Maybe looking at to many internet pictures or really do not what the car
