C7 Z51 trip home
So I'm driving my Corvette back from Atlantic City over the next week and that means that I'm going to hit the 500 mile limit for the first oil change somewhere in Northern Ohio on my way to Lansing, MI to visit an old friend. I think the 500 mile mark will be somewhere near Cleveland in the trip as planned, but may be as far as Sandusky (where I'd like to stop and enjoy some coasters).
Does someone have a recommendation for a dealership in Northern Ohio to do the first oil change on my lovely beauty?

Don't worry about it. Driving the extra 220 miles on one trip won't make a difference as long as you don't do anything crazy. Get it done at the local dealer where you think you will want to continue getting service.

I agree, just have fun, enjoy the ride and do it when you get home. Congrats!

Oh. Sorry. I wasn't very clear. My home is in Colorado, but since I am picking it up out there, I'm going to go visit old friends I haven't seen in a while and take the first vacation I've taken in a long time. I'd like someone who knows it to be a reliable dealer as I'll have 2000 miles on the car by the time I finally get home, which is obviously well past the recommended 500 mile oil change.

As I understand it, the purpose of the first oil change is to get rid of the part of the silicone sealant which ruins the anti-foaming agent in the oil. As long as you don't run the engine at high rpms, you shouldn't have a problem. Just get it done before you rev it up.
