being proud of one's nation is great, I'm very proud of Canada but I don't need to display my patriotism on every item I own. It's good enough for me knowing how much I love my country, I don't care if anyone else knows this or not.

Your car... What others think shouldn't matter. Personally, patriotism is great, and the car would good in a parade, but... everyday... IDK

Love the emblem on the back. As for the flag on the front...my biggest problem is the direction. I know that if it was on a uniform, they would be going in the correct way. However, on the car, while the engine may be the heart of the car, YOUR heart is in the cockpit behind the vents. I've always been taught that the flag should be oriented with the stars closest to YOUR heart.

Flags are correct. Stars towards objective. Or so I was told.

Both of you are absolutely CORRECT. Thanks for the clarification.
I'd never really looked into the the regulations...I was just taught that on a uniform "The flag, regardless of side, has the union closest to your heart". From some research, it shows that the flag should always lead with the union (as in union of stars representing the union of states) facing the direction it moves per se.
HOWEVER, now that I've researched this, there's a likelihood that the use of the the flag on the car (especially the interpretation of the flag on the rear) may be in violation of U.S. Code, Title 4, Chapter 1.
Also see U.S. Code, Title 36, Chapter 10.
It appears that MANY uses of the flag are in violation of the US Code, and the US Code specifically authorizes burning of the flag as means of discarding it. It specifically prohibits its use in many instances that have become acceptable commerce, such as napkins and paper plates.
Huge thanks to this thread for allowing me to learn more about the laws governing the flag of this Great Nation.

Well if you must put on the patriotic decals, you at least picked the right color, it very much matches the paint/emblems on Navy fighter jets and doesn't scream at you. As far as this is concerned, you did a tasteful job.
