Default Where do you keep your EZ Pass Transmitter

New to a C7. In my C5, I had the transmitter under the front license plate cover. I read somewhere it can be read when it's behind the drop-down
display. I tried that the other day and had mixed results. Anyone else have some non-visible locations?

I guess I'm lucky, in Texas we just have an ugly sticker that goes on the windshield.

I keep mine in the " hidden" spot behind the radio/nav screen.

It reads just fine there, and I don't have to take it out. Or ugly up the windshield by mounting it.

We keep ours there in both the 14 and 16. We don't take the 60 or the 76 on toll roads much, but when we do I just hold the extra pass up on the windshield .

Keep mine behind the nav screen screen. Works every time.

I snap mine on the front of the "extended" Blendmount radar holder.

Might be a new record. it took almost ten posts before the "hidden" compartment turned into a gun thread. Usually it only takes a couple.

EZ-pass. not hair trigger.

This is a trick question to see what you altered in my original post, right?

You deleted your post, so I guess my response is spot-on!

Just mount it to the inside of the passenger-side windshield. You'll never notice it from inside the car unless you are looking for it. On the outside you'll see it, but so what? If you're really **** color it with a sharpie.

It is imperative that you leave the secret cubby-hole available for your pistol, and only your pistol. You don't want to accidentally find out that you're pointing your IPass at some car filled with MAC-10 wielding gang bangers who are looking to make you their beeotch!

Plasti-dipped mine black and used black velcro to mount it just to the right of the mirror as you can (or cannot ) see in the pics below.

I had the front plate version, ordered a new "regular" interior version to see if it could be read in the cubby behind the nav screen in NY/NJ and it can NOT be read, so I'm going back to the front mount.

NJ Turnpike, Garden State and the GWB didn't read it.

In NC we have Quick Pass. I have the portable transponder in the Vette, but it's a PITA. We have the little stick on transponder that sticks to the windshield right in front of the rear view mirror on the two other cars. I'm going to change to one of those for the Vette.
