Noise and dealer question
So I am posting this in general as it is not all that much a tech question...
My 2016 a8 3lt developed a noise in v4 at 1300 rpm light throttle. Checked around and it looked like the known flexplate/torque tube issue. Took it to my local dealer (Folsom Chevrolet), they were able to duplicate and 3 days later my vette was back with a shiny new flexplate and the same noise (took a lengthy freeway drive to bring it back).
My concern is that Folsom doesn't have a dedicated vette tech. It sounded like this was his first rodeo with a c7 (hence the three days). Should I be looking for a different service department or do I give them another chance? If so, what should I look for? Car is a daily driver so the down time is inconvenient, but I mainly want it fixed right.
Thanks!

Look at my post on (strange warble sound) mine started on day 2 now have 1200 miles on car. Like u it makes the wa wa wa sound around 1500 rpm when lightly accelerating. Most think it is bad afm valves. I took mine in to dealer and the are in contact with gm and hopefully the can come up with a fix. Interested in knowing what the find on your car. Good luck keep us posted

You're probably getting the warble sound as bjones7131 and Strake stated. There a few of us with this issue and no resolution yet. I have both the growl at 1000 rpm and warble between 1500 - 2000 rpm. I have a 3 week old 2016 C7 A8 w/ NPP and about 300 miles on it now. Started making this sound after 40 miles or so. I'm waiting to complete break in and will schedule to take in to service to have them sort out. I'm hoping the warble thread has new updates by then and a more concrete resolution. I'm still on the side of the fluttering of the AFM valve.

Info
Thanks for all the great info! After reading the thread someone attached, it sounds like there two different noises/problems. I have the light load v4 one, which to me sounds like a rattle/grinding/resonance noise. Going to try the fuse trick and see what happens, I will update back.

Easy fix. Perhaps dealer was smart, he got a lot of money for a flex plate / torque tube fix! Lots of things had to be removed.

Update
Well, pulled fuse 32 annnnd...Fixed!
who knew? When you Vette makes funny noises, just pull fuses till it stops
It sounds fine to me in both v4 and v8 so I am not sure what the point of the valve is. Probably going to drive it for a bit and see what happens
Hope GM releases a fix!
