Took the vert out on this beautiful early summers day, bright sun, in the high 70's no humidity, and blue sky. It happens to be my wife's Birthday, so I decided to go to the florist next to Giant Supermarket. I park the Corvette at the end of the lot, nobody around me. I run my errand and I am walking to my car I notice a Volvo station wagon parked directly next to me with a VERY elderly lady getting her cane out of the back seat, door wide open, but no problem not near the Corvette door. This idiot bagboy from Giant is gathering carriages and the lady asked for a carriage. This idiot is about 50 yards away pushes the carriage to the lady, and of course what direction does the carriage go. I saw this coming ran an caught the carriage about four feet from hitting the Corvettes rear passenger quarter. I said to the 19 year old idiot, that was not a very bright move, first of all the elderly lady would not be able to "catch" the carriage, secondly did it every occur to you shopping carriages do not go where they are pointed, you could have damaged my car. Idiot replies, " I had it all under control, I would not have let it hit any car never mind your precious Corvette". With a reply like that I know its not worth discussing with this fool. The lady thanked me and said I did not mean for that boy to push the carriage at me, I thought he would bring it to me so I could balance myself as I just had a hip replacement. I told her no problem, and I was glad to be their to stop the carriage and provide it to you. She smiled and went on her way and so did I.

Little does this idiot know the manager of Giant is a neighbor of mine down the street, so I put my flowers in the car and had a visit with my neighbor in Giant. Well there is now another unemployed idiot out on the street, and I have no regrets. Appears he has pulled stunts like this since he was hired a month ago, and has already damaged two other cars which Giant is liable to have repaired.

I just don't understand why people do such stupid stuff.... Know let's see if my car gets keyed..... Oh my other neighbor who I know very well is the Police Chief of the town and I am a US Customs officer, let see how far this goes and of course I have this idiots name and address....

Hope to move to Florida when I retire in couple more years. There cannot be as many idiots there as we have in Northern Virginia. At least I hope

I'm with-ya, but if you think about it, its the parents for the most part that are really to blame for not raising their children correctly. I used to get paddled a lot in school when I was young (bad kid) and if it were up to me that would still be in effect, etc.

Yes, a 19 year old is clueless, not a surprise. Seems that these days more is being done to protect and nurture the stupid people. Instead of thinning of the heard, the stupid ones are allowed to live and multiply and create more stupid people, this will go on until the world implodes.

Since this is the NEW sensitive Generation, I hope I did not serious offend this person's feelings, as I would never want to enter the zone of offense to such a delicate human being, I hope he has a quiet zone he can retreat to so he can gain back his damaged feelings..

Bring a crash helmet. We get vacationers from all over the country. Each bringing their own idiosyncratic driving habits ( tail gaters, left lane drivers, stop light runners, stop sign pausers, etc.), add in our resident "Mr. Magoos" that can't see Goodyear blimp unless they hit it, or hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin factory until they feel the shock wave, pretty much amounts to a demolition derby during season.

Don't! Most of the idiots here now have migrated down from out of state over the last few decades,. Back home, they voted in the elites, who raised their taxes, put in policies that ruined their old home states, so they could not afford to live in their progressive havens anymore. They ruined their old home states and moved out so now they infested Florida like roaches and are repeating the process here now.

I'm sure there was no other way that conversation could have gone, that would have allowed the kid to keep his job and maybe learn something about respect of private property, personal space, etc,.
