Santa Ana, California - June 22, 2016 - Callaway is looking forward to participating in three major events this weekend. First, Callaway Competition is racing two Corvette C7 GT3-R's at the Nürburgring-Nordscheife. Plus, Callaway is displaying a new Callaway Corvette SC757 at Bloomington Gold. Finally, another new Callaway Corvette SC757 will be on exhibit at Barrett-Jackson's Inaugural Collector Car Auction at the Mohegan Sun Casino/Resort in Connecticut.
Coming off a double victory at the last ADAC GT Masters race earlier this month, Callaway Competition has brought two Corvette C7 GT3-R's to the Nürburgring to compete in the VLN Adenauer German Payment Trophy event on June 25. Americans Boris Said and Eric Curran will pilot the Whelen Engineering sponsored No. 31, while the AutoArenA No. 69 will be driven by German racers Patrick Assenheimer and Dominik Schwager. The Callaways are scheduled to return to the Nürburgring on October 8 for VLN's DMV 250 race, again competing in the SP9 class. Racing at the Nürburgring-Nordscheife this year is part of Callaway Competition's C7 GT3-R program preparing to compete in next year's ADAC Zurich 24 hour Race 2017.
Moving to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for 2016, Bloomington Gold bills itself as the world's largest Corvette show. A new Callaway Z06 SC757 will be on exhibit this weekend in the Bill Stasek Chevrolet display, located on the Speedway's Foyt Drive, shown above. Callaway Factory Staff will be supporting Stasek's expert sales team this weekend, helping present the 757 horsepower supercar. Bill Stasek Chevrolet is Callaway's Authorized Dealer in the Chicago area, providing exceptional sales, financing and warranty support.
This weekend, Callaway Cars will also be displaying the new Callaway Z06 SC757 shown here at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction at the Mohegan Sun Casino/Resort. The event is expected to be heavily attended as it is Barrett-Jackson's first Collector Car Auction at the Uncasville, Connecticut resort, and it is the only Barrett-Jackson auction scheduled for the Northeast US. The Callaway Z06 SC757 will be on display at Mothers' “Big Rig” exhibit, in Mohegan Sun's Showcase Pavilion. Callaway is proud to partner with Mothers Polishes.
