Awesome - congratulations Jeremy! I think you'll love it more than your wide body transformation in the end.

You spec'd out an awesome ride. Post some pics of the yellow stitching. I did red stitching on my black 3LT interior and it really pops!

Wow awesome, I wanted to place a order but my local dealers 2 nearest to me here in California didn't even know the car was coming out! Its been a hassle, plus I don't know all the options too well and really would like to order the vehicle exactly like I want it. I have a bunch of question on what options and combinations can be had, did your dealer walk you through the order option by option? BTW if you don't mind what was the cost of your GS as optioned? Thanks in advance

Congrats on getting to 1100, now the difficult wait begins.
I hope yours is one of the first GS's to be built and delivered, and with Mike Furman supporting you, I am sure it will be.

Looking forward to seeing the arrival pics and your personal review of the GS.

We know you put a vast amount of personal time and money into your 2014.

When it came to filing an insurance claim for the loss, how much of the cost and expense of the mods that you did was recoverable via the insurance claim?

Many of us put more money into the C7's after getting them. It would be nice to know that if the car was totalled out, what amount of recovery would there be from the insurance and what is their policy on recovery of aftermarket modifications to these cars or any car?

Perhaps you can educate us.

All but one of my Corvettes (my wife's daily drive) are covered by American Modern via the National Corvette Museum's Insurance Agency. Each Corvette on the policy is insured with an "agreed value" set by myself and the insurance company. During the first year of coverage, one can set the agreed value at the purchase price. As mods are added, the value of the car and the replacement cost of the mods can be calculated to increase the agreed value. Of course, all mods have the be surrendered to the insurance company, but my agreed value was sufficient to cover the value of the Corvette at the time of loss plus the mods that I had done. Another nice benefit in my American Modern policy is their inflation guard, which extends an additional 2% of the agreed value per quarter up to 6% total through the policy year. Because I was in the last quarter of my annual policy at the time of the loss, I will receive the agreed value plus an additional 6%. I highly recommend the NCM Agency for those that fit the usage qualification of the American Modern policy.

Did they give you any idea, when it might be delivered?

I am close to ordering mine. Not sure if they are building any with standard transmissions yet. I haven't seen any GS other than automatics coming into dealer inventory yet and one dealer I spoke to said GM had a supplier issue with the Manual transmissions.

Love to know what kind of discount off of list you were able to get.
You can always PM me, if you don't want to make it public.

Congrats and good luck!!

Good questions... Several design team members and plant management team members, as well as Mike Furman (my salesman), have become personal friends over the last couple of years. As a result, there are some things that I simply am not at liberty to share.

With regard to the M7, the dealer that said GM is having a supplier issue with the manual transmissions is just making something up so he doesn't sound like he is clueless. The real reason the M7 Z51 and GS are on constraint right now is a reason that most, if not all, M7 Z51 and GS buyers will be pleased with once they start production and the information becomes available. I can tell you that M7 Z51 and GS production may not start until August, but if you really want an M7 over the A8, just be patient and we'll have our M7 Grand Sport Corvettes before we know it.
