No prior criminal history???? What about the stolen car they drove to the dealership?

Well, in California, those three charges are Felonies. They would not be released without mucho bail. Must be some kind of Mayberry town.

Guess it was fun for them while it lasted.
That manager of the dealership should be out looking for a new job IMO.

My Albuquerque dealer (different dealer) took a personal check from me for the full balance of the purchase price (after a credit for trade in) on new C7 convertible and let me drive away. It was a mid five figure check. However my check cleared.

I don't look like a Corvette buyer either but they let me drive off with a personal check. Darwin award goes to the crooks who called in to complain and actually went back to the scene of the crime.

Can't stereotype like that man. We had what looked to be a bum off the street, def not your "corvette type". Hands over a legal check for around 126k dollar check for a brand new Z06 3LZ. Come to find out this guy goes around purposely dressed like this to see if he would be treated fairly and said he was snubbed by the local BMW / Porsche dealers and thats not the first time i heard of that. Is why i always treated my customers fair and equally because not every rich person dresses the part

You people are something else....WHAT THE HELL DOES A CORVETTE BUYER LOOK LIKE?????? At least most of you said Corvette and not Z06 you elitist snobs.....And, as far as the dealer is concerned....Dealers take personal checks for cars all across this country EVERY DAY. AND, I am willing to bet that Sales Manager is still employed at that dealership.

To be fair, only one person made that comment in a disparaging way. The other comments (like mine) were meant to dispel the fact that there is a "look" for a Corvette buyer.
