Vancouver to Whistler
Hi: I live in British Columbia's west coast. If anyone makes it up to this area I would highly recommend a run from Vancouver to Whistler. This very scenic route takes you up the winding coast line in a breath taking run in your corvette. Worth the trip and remember your dollar is now getting you a 25% premium. Canada is on sale to all Americans. Your dollar gets you $1.30 Canadian.

Would love to make the drive. Anyway you can move Vancouver a little closer to Springfield, MO, so it doesn't take 4 days of driving to get there and then 4 days to get back home to Missouri.

I love the Calgary to Kelowna drive....Sicamous to Vancouver very boring until you get to the Coq, then it get's interesting....up until Hope then a boring straight shot into Vancouver.

I know this is about driving but if they still have it take the scenic train from Vancouver to Squamish it is well worth it. Beautiful ride along the ocean inlet.
The drive up is spectacular as well. Beautiful part of the country.

Ha! In the early 80's, that was our race track, two or four wheels! You choose your weapon!
Some great Canadian drivers, back then. I think it was a prerequisite if you didn't want to be run off the road by faster traffic (winter or summer, day or night)!
That was when the only condo development in the area went belly up for over developing and auctioned studios for $20K and two bedrooms for $40K Canadian! Good old days...then they blasted the rocks, cut into the mountains, opened up the roads, made 90% of the highway "no passing zone", and paved over all the potholes we used to race on!
Always loved the welcoming Canadian police, always so polite (cost of a ticket was always figured in the weekend budget!)....until they started parking vans along side of road with camera, and the welcoming troops further down the road from the camera...good times.
Just be warned, radar detectors are illegal up there. Don't be caught with one!
Haven't been there since the village got too big.
If you want beautiful drive (hopefully still untouched) go north of Whisteler passed Pemberton, the Indian reservation into the mountains and valleys. Absolutely breathtaking.
