Picked up another two jugs today for $22.88 each and submitted the two rebates on-line. Like you, I've been hording and my stockpile is now at 6½ five-qt. jugs. I need to put this on the calculator for future purchases, though, as the oil reportedly has a five-year lifespan in a sealed container. I'm still getting free M1 oil changes from the dealer with one left (Jan. 2017), so my first oil change on my nickel will probably be Jan. 2018. I change the oil in the pickup once per year, so I need to make sure I don't let my greed (I call it smart buying) overrun what I can use within the time limitation.

Can't beat the price per jug after buying at Walmart and then getting the rebate. I've been getting the rebate for several years and Mobil mails the check pretty darn quick, without any hassles(unlike some companies).
This is my fourth rebate event (10 qts. each) and like you I've found the Mobil1 rebate system to be reasonably quick and faultless, so far, unlike nearly all other rebates I've participated in. When I've had a question the phone line is available without much wait. The rebates have been received between 4-6 weeks from submission.

My problem is that my C6 Z06 takes 10.5 quarts, so two five quart jugs comes up short.

They did accept the receipt from Walmart however
I got the rebate from Mobil 1 by just including the printed receipt from Amazon.

Walmart is cheaper and the best place to buy oil. Who buys quarts?

I've participated in three of these rebate opportunities from Walmart purchases in the past and the checks were received between 4-6 weeks after submission. They will come in self-contained envelopes (i.e., checks are part of the envelope) that don't have a clear marking of their origin, so keep your eyes peeled. They could easily be mistaken for junk mail.

The coupon I posted the picture of was advertising the 5-quart jugs, not individual quarts.

That is a great price at WalMart but I will go out of my way to support local small business owners when possible.

Is there a way of determining the date when the quarts (gallons) were manufactured?
Thanks again.

Applied for rebate from the last rebate offer. Never recd it. Over two months ago. Checked the rebate status online. Shows they never recd it. Be careful. Never had that problem before. Might be processed off shore.

I have six 5-qt. jugs here now and all but one have a pair of alphanumeric codes stamped (no ink) into the back label in a blank area. The one odd jug has these numbers printed on the bottom of the container just below the label.

The first group from one of the jugs is 11016E21A, which represents 21 May 2016. For the alpha character, "A" would represent Jan., "E" = May, etc. All my jugs have date codes that correspond to 1-3 months before I purchased them, but I always write the mo-yr of purchase on them with a marker anyway, store them in order, and use FIFO.

It's getting late here and I'm having trouble focusing but are you saying the dry sump system takes 40 quarts?

18 wheelers typically hold between 10 - 15 gallons?

He mistakenly said gallons rather than quarts. The 2014 Z51's original capacity was listed at 10.3 quarts then was later revised down to 9.8 quarts. I personally do 9 quarts and it's perfect.
