I'm likely ordering a 2LT Coupe without the Z51 pkg.....Do most people get the 3.42 gear ratio or the 2.41? How much better gas mileage is the 2.41 for anyone that has those? Does the car feel significantly less powerful with the 2.41 gears? I will not be racing the car or taking it to the track. Just driving to work and back.

All manual transmissions cars have the 3.42 rear end.

Automatic Stingrays and Z06's have a 2.41.

Automatic Stingray Z51's have a 2.73.

I think its simply a choice of Manual or Automatic.

The choice is the transmission and you get the ratio that comes with that. Don't have gear ratio choice from factory separately.
