Default Clear Bra Kit for a Grand Sport

I'm looking to pick up a pre-cut clearbra kit. Anyone have experience with these?

http://carprotectionpros.com/paint-p...ilm-deluxe-kit

Also, the Z06 and GS shouldn't share a kit because the GS shares the bumpers/fenders from the Z06 but has the hood from a Z51, right?

Hello, we actually have our pre-cut kits for nearly the entire vehicle available. We'd highly recommend a professional installation of the product, as its not easy as a DIY product.

I haven't kept up w/ whether there have been significant product improvements in 3M films, but I did use them a decade ago. However, it's my understanding that XPEL and SunTek surpassed them in terms of optical clarity, self-healing ability, and offer more protection against penetration. XPEL also provides a 10-year warranty against discoloration or debonding.

I've seen some say that 3M has responded to the competition, is a much better product today, and is less expensive.

Good to know, I believe 3M also offers the 10 years as well. But I do want something that is more clear so no one can tell.

How is the clean up process on the clear wraps? Can you wash it normally and wax? I have the clear wrap on the side skirt that comes with the stock C7, but that thing is a pain to clean.

Yes, you can wash, wax, and use detail sprays normally just as would treat paint. In fact, a good sealant protects the film, but it's probably not necessary. I do know XPEL recommends not using petrochemical-based sealants on the film. I have noticed that my new XPEL is more hydro-phobic (beads up better) with a wax or sealant.

I generally don't even need to use car wash shampoo or even touch my car to wash or dry. I use a low-pressure electric powerwasher, water only, and then blow dry it with a Master Blaster.

I just had Xpel added to my vehicle a couple weeks ago and it sounds easier than it really is. The company that installed mine carried the 3m,sunscrren product and the XPel but suggested the Xpel. They showed me 4 or 5 examples at the shop and although I couldn't really tell a difference the Xpel warranty was better than the 3m by far. They also showed me the reason I wanted to let them install and not use the precut pieces. There are certain spots they can cover and maneuver better with the sheets. The place I went to here in Ohio even came to my house and did it for me. Awesome customer service and they came back the 2nd day to inspect for peels ups or spots that needed extra attention. IMO....Xpel all the way. BTW I did from the doors fwd, mirrors, door sills and handles.

If you do not have experience installing this stuff, I suggest you let a pro do it.

I like the idea of a full transparent wrap to keep the paint perfect. Never heard of this before, very cool.

How much for the whole car for the xpel and how much for the 3m tints?
