Default Thank you Tim Boone, Boardwalk Chevrolet

Just wanted to thank Tim Boone from Boardwalk Chevy in Redwood City, CA for a great buying experience.

After a lot of contemplation, with solid sale prices finally available I decided to take the leap and trade in our 2014 Z51 in on a 2016 Z06/Z07.

It had to be in one of 3 exterior colors, 3lz, manual, GT seats, preferably Z07. I found what I was looking for within 10 miles from me in a very small dealership not used to dealing in corvettes at all, but they wouldn't budge on their price.

I called Tim less than a week ago with my car criteria. He gave me the price I wanted and a solid price on my trade in - no dickering at all - I gave him my acceptable numbers, and he met them. Within a few days I found myself driving home in a murdered out Z07! Funny thing is - the car I bought from Tim was the same car the local dealer refused to deal with me on. Tim got the car from the local dealer, I bought the car from Tim at the price I wanted.

Very happy customer.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago buying a Duramax. Found the perfect vehicle in Renton, WA, but the guy was being an A.H. about it, so I went ten miles down the road to Auburn, WA, and bought the very same truck from them. They have some intra-dealer trade network going, so the salesman went up to Renton and drove the truck down to Auburn himself where I picked it up.

I haven't traded in a car in CA yet. Did you have to pay sales tax on the price of the new Vette, or the difference between your trade-in and the new Vette?

HAHA - right you are.

Pic in back room at Boardwalk before I picked it up. Wish I got pics of all the vettes to the right, but it was contract time, and off I ran!
