I'm curious how that looks with the power cord running down the middle of the screen when you need to charge the phone (ie. if using Waze, etc.)

It looks like this.

I use a long cable that I've run out the side of the center console (using the 12v charge port inside the console), tucked between seat and console, under the floor mat, and up to the phone, which I rotate while charging. It actually looks better mounted horizontally.

That's a clean solution, but too low. I prefer eye-level. There are way too many people on the road with heads down messing w/ phones.

Slips on the lip of the power port door and puts the phone at your fingertips. Get a flat 6" USB cord and a flush 12v adapter and plug the phone into the port. The phone will hide the cord. Cleanest install possible.
That charges the phone, but, for good music quality, you have to run a cable to the USB port in the console, which is not so clean.

I also have the ProClip and like it fine. However, after using it, I would prefer it to be much higher up where the vents are. Don't have to look away from the road as much.

I think I prefer the pro clip one based on all I've seen. The cords will be less obtrusive there too. While yes, you do need to peek down, I don't stare at my phone, just a quick where do I turn next so that location wouldn't be an issue for me.

Up top would be great if it weren't for the fact that id have cords all over and I like to have things cleaner.

Sorry for the crappy picture.

There is a button on the back and when you press it the arms on the side spring out so it will fit a very wide range of cases. The Qi works great. Keeps the battery fully charged with Waze on the screen constantly.

Just ordered this, thanks. Cannot beat the convenience of a magnetic snap dock. I had one long back and then went proclip etc. but glad to be back to that solution.

Agreed . . . after trying a dozen or so phone-holder cradles of various designs, I found "nirvana" w/ the mag mounts. Just move your phone in the general vicinity and it grabs it securely. Once you've used one, everything else seems positively archaic.

The C7 is particularly well-suited to the vent clip per my post #20, with no ugly hardware.
