Default Are sill plates on 2017 Grand Sport 2LT standard?

Just wondering if door sill plates on 17' grand sport model are standard.

There's an option for aluminum door sill plates for $275.

Does anybody know? Thanks!

Interesting question. I just checked Chevrolet.com "Build your own" and saw what you mean. According to it, the $275 option is for sill plates without any special text like the "Stingray" ones that replace the standard "Corvette" ones on Stingrays. I have two new Grand Sports on my showroom floor that I definitely did not order optional plates on; I'll check them when I return on Tuesday and will report back.

I'm pretty sure, but not 100% positive.... The GS comes with the plain "Corvette" sill plates installed. The $275 option is for sill plates that have a crossed flags emblem on the left and two stripes leading from left to right until it says "Grand Sport." I think those plates are dealer installed. The car still comes with the regular plates, but the dealer takes them off and installs the optional ones.

FYI, for protection of the sill plates, I had XPEL installed over them to prevent scratches.

This would make perfect sense.

This is correct. Unless you order the optional sill plates, your GS will come with the regular "Corvette" script sill plates. You can see the optional GS sill plates in the accessory graphic below.
