Default 2014 tow hook

Hello, I bought a used 2014 with 2400 miles in January. This weekend as I was looking in the battery compartment I noticed a black foam that sat on top of the battery. There was an indentation in it for a tow hook. I called the dealer to tell them the tow hook was missing. The sales manager Mike at Mall Chevrolet said well its a used car and then told me it doesn't come with the car new. Does anyone know if this is true?

It was not included in the 2014. No receiver to screw it into either.

I also lack receivers but there's no way I am going to add them . Here is what i went with. One set fits into the holes at the jack points. Hard to find a long set like this.

There is various hooks at the end. Which of them would you hook in the holes? The reason why I ask is I found a few them with different single hooks on them. thanks

^^^ I ordered the link I gave above. I have to admit it's clearly overkill. Pretty heavy. But if a semi gets stuck I can help. It will still work, however. While I have not tried it in yet, the hook to use will be one of the T sections that fits into the holes at the jacking points. There is a nice photo in this thread about post 16. (I would have just ordered these but could not get a reply from the seller on ebay.). Most bridles are too short. It's hard to find one this long.
