Default Heading home to Iowa!

Richard and Sharon drove all the way from Northwestern Iowa to get their New 2016 Long Beach Red Metallic 3LZ Z06 Convertible with Kalahari Top and Kalahari Interior. Thank you Richard and Sharon for working with me over the phone, e-mail, and at our dealership. I even offered to spend more time with them going through their New Corvette if they wanted to spend the night (at my expense) and come back the next morning for another educational session. We spent nearly an hour and a half walking through their MyLink Infotainment System and Driving Modes.

Default Delivery for 9-29-2016 WHAT A SURPRISE!

A month ago I received an e-mail message from a very nice woman from North Platte Nebraska! She had been watching our Corvette Inventory on our www.CorvetteNebraska.com website for a few years. In fact she was so in love with Corvettes that she convinced her husband to rent a new Stingray convertible while on vacation during the winter months in a not so warm climate!

I was happy to hear from her husband Clark on Monday of this week when he called. I was caught off guard not thinking that I would have what she wanted based upon her previous visit and multiple test drives. The Corvette she wanted matched what I had in inventory but it was much higher than the price range she had earlier set. In fact she had said no to this same Corvette about one month ago because of price.

Clark and I worked out a price that fit both of us. The only item we had to change was the caliper color - which we promptly removed and had repainted and had the "Corvette" reapplied after the change from black to red paint.

Needless to say I arrived just on time with the Harchelroad Motors "small trailer" (White 52 foot gooseneck two car enclosed trailer with Dually in tow). Clark told his wife as she came out to investigate that the neighbors were up to something and that she should go back inside to look for something. I swiftly took the Corvette from the trailer to their driveway for the SURPRISE CORVETTE DELIVERY!

Needless to say this trip from Imperial Nebraska to North Platte Nebraska was well worth the hour and 30 minute drive! See pictures below. We sure love making dreams come true!

As long as I can leave the dealership then yes I plan to be there. It is tough at times to leave when Sid is gone just because of lot traffic. I will be my best to get there this year.

Linda was the first to take delivery of the new for 2017 color Black Rose. What a beautiful Corvette. This Grand Sport had all of the right things going on today - awesome color, great interior, good looking wheels, 3LT, Grand Sport Underhood Liner, etc...!

I was able to start this process with Linda back at the end of July 2016. I first appraised her 2011 Grand Sport for trade at the Corvettes West Corvette Show in Greeley Colorado. At the time I had in my possession a 2017 Watkins Glen Gray Metallic 3LT Grand Sport Coupe vin #00001. This Corvette sparked Linda's interest in the new Grand Sport and thus our process of building the perfect Corvette for her started.

She and her husband drove over 3 hours from Colorado to Nebraska to take delivery of the Corvette today at our dealership. While they were here we took nearly 2 hours going through her new Corvette to ensure that when she drove it home she would not have any troubles getting the Corvette to act like she wanted. We set her OnStar, paired her Phone to Bluetooth, set up her MyChevrolet App so she could use her phone to start, lock, and unlock her Corvette, and also showed her how to run her voice command system through MyLink. Overall she left very happy!

Thank you Linda for working with me through this process.

It is so nice to see other dealers posting these images of happy C7 ownership.

Thanks for posting and keep the images coming.

Greatly appreciated, especially from a dealership in the Heartland of America.

Welcome, and great to see you here.

I really enjoyed reading this thread, and it sounds like your family knows how to run a classy business with a personal touch. That's all too rare in this day and age of mega dealer conglomerates.

Nice to read your thread as a CF sponsor Chevrolet dealer in Western Nebraska.
I bought my 1st new C3 Corvette from another small town Nebraska Chevy dealer, Anderson in Wahoo, Nebraska, 3,500 population. Saved over $2,000.00 over the big city dealers too.

I'm in the hunt for the right C7 for me, new or used. I'll give your website a look see if you have anything that interests me. Thanks for the time and effort in building this nice thread!

Had dinner with his father at the bash two years ago. Truly a very up front guy.Sadly, Sid got the flu just before last years bash so he couldn't make the event. With luck, Dillon can come in April so he can take the plant tour.

Default Black Rose Grand Sport Convertible goes to Seward NE!

Mr. Hughes has been purchasing Corvettes from Sid Harchelroad for the past 10 + years and we have always enjoyed having him around. In fact it was this customer who got my father Sid Harchelroad into open road racing (Sandhills Open Road Challenge, Big Bend, Silver States, etc..) and track driving! Little did Sid know that by joining Mr. Hughes at High Speed events that he and Mr. Hughes would become best of friends.

Recently Mr. Hughes brought his wife's 1998 Medium Purple Pearl Metallic Corvette Convertible to Imperial to be consigned for sale. It didn't take long for this under 12,000 mile Corvette (it was an 11 out of 10 condition Corvette) to find a new home. However Mrs. Hughes was not very pleased that her Purple Corvette was leaving - little did she know she was getting a new ride!

Mr. Hughes requested the new Black Rose Metallic Grand Sport Convertible be ordered by Sid as soon as the new for 2017 color was announced. It was quickly ordered, built, and delivered to Harchelroad Motors where it was tucked away until Mr. Hughes was able to arrive for pickup and delivery. He added a bit of flair to this Corvette with a great looking set of custom wheels!

Congratulations Mrs. Hughes - your husband has great taste and knows exactly how to make you happy! Enjoy your New Grand Sport from Harchelroad Motors of Imperial Nebraska - the guys who are "Famous For Fun!"

Until next time - Dillon Harchelroad

Default Sid Harchelroad has been busy!

Our Corvette adventure began because my dad (Sid Harchelroad) had the Corvette bug and insisted that we sell more Corvettes. That insistence led Harchelroad Motors from less than two Corvette sales (new and used) each year in 2001 to over 100+ (new and used) a year in 2015.

Let me tell you - Sid has been busy over the past few weeks talking about and sending Corvettes home to their new owners! In fact he even had the chance to drive a new 2017 White Grand Sport Coupe to Albuquerque New Mexico from our Dealership in Imperial Nebraska to deliver it to the new owners who drove in from Las Vegas!

Taking Delivery in New Mexico and heading home to Las Vegas! Sid personally delivered this Grand Sport all the way from Nebraska!

Sid and Carol Harchelroad then drove the trade back home to Imperial Nebraska! Watch for a few more delivery stories shortly today!

Default Another great delivery!

Our deliveries haven't stopped but we have been on hiatus for posting. A few more deliveries stores will come over the next few days.

As you know passion for Corvettes comes in all shapes, sizes, and ages. Though I am 30 years young I tend not to sell Corvettes to anyone who is younger than me; let alone NEW CORVETTES!
It is always a pleasure to work with anyone in the sales world - however I love showing and selling Corvettes.

I received an e-mail from our Website on January 2nd, 2016 about our last 2016 Laguna Blue Stingray Coupe. The Corvette Owner saw it posted on Corvette Forum and also happened to only live about 3 hours south of our Dealership. We agreed on a difference after trade and a date of delivery quickly. We then arranged financing that met his requirements.

He arrived with his father to take delivery of his new Stingray a few days later! Of course being the middle of winter there was snow on the ground so no driving the new Corvette home - put on a trailer instead! We loaded and unloaded his 2013 Grand Sport Coupe trade and loaded his new Stingray inside our shop and detail area where it was warm (the temperature outdoors was still in the negative range at this time!).

It was very cool to deliver a new Stingray to an under 30' something adult who has already previously owned 2 Corvettes! I look forward to hitting the car show circuit with this owner!
