Grats man! Had my first Vette at 32, '12 GS, and traded it in for a C7 right before my 35th b day. Enjoy it, drive it hard, mod it, and get ready to answer a lot of stupid questions related to your age and financial situation

I made the same move. 17 GT350 to a 16 Z06. Even on the mustang sites, forums members understood the upgrade. I've been a mustang guy my whole life but this car is just in another league.

Welcome aboard, enjoy your Vette.

Congrats on the car! Looks great in pics. Since those wheels say Luxery I am assuming they are not forged and are heavier than stock OEM? Is that correct? I want new wheels also but the forged ones are like $1,800 A PIECE! It's insane.

Congrats on making the recommended engine swap to fix your Ford! Like most here you realize if you are going to do an LS Swap might as well swap the chasis while you are at it!
Would love to hear detailed info from people who have owned both the Shelby GT350 and a C7.

So far the only mention is looks, love to hear more about the driving experience.

will for me the gt350 did drive well . The handling was good and yes the sound of the voodoo engine that revs to 8000 rpm is amazing . It does put down more power then the stringray but it is also a heavy car .. For me it is more ment for an oval track car .. As for the c7 we all know how that drives . To be honest there are days when I do miss the 350 but I am a guy that want to stand out then others and the 350 is too new for any mod ... No one wants to touch the car right now and I spoke to lots or tuner , they said it's too new for them .... If I still had my 350 I would had traded that for the 2018 500 ..

I always wanted a vet since I was a kid and I just had to do it and I am able to now cos in life we never know what brings tomorrow ... I can loose everything over a bad habit or divorce but least I can say I was a vet owner lol

At 25 I bought my 1st Corvette, a brand new one. There's nothing like it. That was 40 years ago this December. I'm back in the hunt for the right C7 for me. It'll be every bit as exhilarating as the 1st.

I think both the C7 and GT350 are great looking cars, but there's something about the driving experience in the GT350 that I couldn't replicate in a C7.
As far as the GT350 not standing out, what color did you have? I see the guys with the greys and blacks and they look plain (especially if they don't have stripes).

The op has himself a nice car. Its none of your business about any of his deal or trade or anything else and your comments are not appreciated by anyone here. In fact just go to a mustang forum.
Sorry moderators, this guy is a d bag like I said.

Congrats op. enjoy every minute of it. I've had many different toy/hobby cars (domestic) but once i bought my '08 i could never see myself in a different hobby car ever again. like someone on here said, you don't drive your corvette, you wear it like a superman suit. lol
