No one wants to touch the car right now and I spoke to lots or tuner , they said it's too new for them .... If I still had my 350 I would had traded that for the 2018 500 ..
The GT350 is a nice car, but I've never whipped my head around to catch a look at a Mustang going by. The Corvette however, all the time.

A generally accepted truism.

Welcome aboard, the C7 is a beauty. Enjoy, and don't forget to wave.

Myself I think the 350 is a killer car, but as you said the cars are built for a different type of driving experience. My dear wife is a Mustang person, and while not a 350 (a GT) the cars are completely different animals.

The GT350 is by far the best Mustang I've seen the Ford people put out. Driving experience aside, I can't get over the looks. The GT looks like a normal Mustang, tricked out to be sure, but not so much that it really grabs your attention.

The thing about the Corvette, is that nothing in GM's line up looks anything like it, and nothing performance-wise is comparable for the price, among any manufacturer. The C7 is just a sharp looking car, and it rides like a proper sports car, minimal body roll/low stance; a precision instrument (a scalpel more than a laser).

Although an extreme version of one, the GT350 is a muscle car...
Its competitors are the SRT8s, the Hellcats, and the upcoming ZL1 and Z28.
The C7 is an honest-to-God real Sportscar.
Very different beasts in many ways.

Actually, this is not true. I would hardly call the GT350 just another muscle car. This car holds its place with some pretty damn good "Sportscars" and smokes the hell out of a Hellcat on a road course. Muscle cars go fast in a straight line. The GT350 is well renowned for it's capabilities on the track for the money. It LOOKS like a just another mustang muscle car, but it certainly is not the same.

For the record, I like both cars very much, just have a different feel for each one.

There are more vettes in my area and they are nothing special. But a GT350 driving by in Sport mode will turn anyones head via exhaust note alone. Certainly a much better sounding car!

But finding a GT350 on the road is a rare bird with only 5K made in the 2016 model year.

I was actually thinking about a GT350 as one of my options when buying my Corvette, but my dad pushed me against it. He asked me, why I would spend so much money on a car that looks basically the same as the base Mustang? Of course I had to explain to him the difference in performance. He said that it wasn't a real sports car like the Corvette and he would never look twice at a Mustang. I always have to keep in mind that he came to America in his late 20's and was never really immersed in the American muscle car era. Well I guess he did have a Cutlass Supreme in his 40's, but it's no Corvette.

The GT350 is a great looking car that was built to perform on the track. Both the Corvette and the GT350 were meant to compete in the same light, but it's a choice we all had to make. Do you want your sports car to look like a suped up Mustang or a Corvette? I guess I've always admired the Corvette as a beautiful and successful sports car, so that pushed me over the edge. Maybe when I have more money and garage space, I'll buy both. Until then, I'll stick with the Corvette.

Glad to see that the OP has finally come to his senses.
Never buy any crap from that joke called Ford again.

Crap that hold's it's value is still crap.
A great car like the Corvette is a joy to drive and own, regardless of what they market says it's dollar value it is.

We're all educated Corvette owners here.
No one cares about the junk from Ford.

The gt350 is freaking beautiful. It's apples to oranges to a Vette. I love them both. As a matter of fact, I own my Corvette because the dealer I have bought 5 previous Fords from refused to take the 10k off they were charging over msrp for the GT350.

$10k? Sounds like he was cutting you a deal. ADM on Shelby's is just ridiculous. I remember one GT500 at a Ford dealer had a $30k ADM.

Thats exactly right.

The corvette is just more propose built car. They dont make a economy version of the corvette, like they do with mustangs.

In my opinion the corvette is the best performance car under 100k. When you factor in every part of the car. Looks, performance etc...

I didn't call it "just another muscle car," because it's not.
It's Ford's premier Mustang with a unique engine.

smokes the hell out of a Hellcat on a road course.
It better...the Challenger Hellcat weighs 4,450 lbs.

Muscle cars go fast in a straight line.
That has been their traditional forte.
However, these last 20 years or so manufacturers have been incorporating better suspensions and other trackish goodies in 'em.

The GT350 is well renowned for it's capabilities on the track for the money. It LOOKS like a just another mustang muscle car, but it certainly is not the same.
You're right, it is "well renowned" for its track capabilities...versus OTHER muscle cars now on the road.
But not against high-end Sportcars.

Take a look at the date of manufacture of the listed cars...

Ford (Mustang) V8s have had the best American V8 sound for decades.
Ford actually has Acoustical Engineers that fine tune the each gen so that the model retains its unique and easily identifiable sound.

FWIW, I rank the "sound" of the 3 brands like this:
1. Ford
2. Hemi (current)
3. Chevy smallblock

I sold my GT500 and had planned to purchased a GT350R this past Spring. The ADMs were insane, so I ended up buying a '16 Z06. No regrets, but I'm definitely looking forward to the '18 GT500... ADMs notwithstanding.

It's an awesome time for car enthusiasts

What Ford is doing to evolve the Mustang, finally getting rid of that solid rear axle, has helped to improve it's performance. I'm glad they are making a concerted effort to make the Mustang more of a sports car, but it has a little ways to go before truly entering that category.

The Coyote engine has a great sound, I prefer the "Hemi" 392 myself. I have not heard the flat plane crank in person, so I can't pass judgement there.

ford can NEVER be forgiven for continuing to sell a mustang in the 21st century with a solid rear axle in an attempt to increase profits by a measly $100 per car.
ESPECIALLY, when even the EXPLORER got an IRS in 2002.

Every intelligent car guy has abandoned ford and they crap they produce.
