I have body colored vents on my Shark Grey 2015 Z51. Only about 80 cars were built that way in 15. Love the look snd it turns out to be fairly rare.

Aside from all the badmouthing here about how they look, I was probably one of the first 2016 purchasers to get "body colored vents" on my white C7. I've had the car to numerous car events and at first people know something is different but not sure what it is. And, to date, everyone that commented on the look, has said they like it better than the standard black vents, especially on the hood and rear deck. As an aside, I actually bought my car from MacMulkin, the OP, a year ago.

Walt - Love the shout out to the old 1970 -1972 LT1 with the pin strip on the hood. Really sharp.

Body color vents look good on some colors. I don't care for them on white. Its a thousand dollar option!

I like your 70-72 LT-1 pinstripes on the hood. You should put the "LT-1" in there too.

I agree that was a hard pill to swallow since I had never seen how it would actually look when I placed my order but I would do it again in a second.

Maybe you have to see the car in person because as I said before everyone and I mean everyone that sees the body color vents likes them better than the standard black.

1970 LT-1

For me, this option takes care of the single biggest complaint I personally had with the appearance of the C7's: namely, I hated the black painted vents all over the car that broke up the visual lines of the car. To me, the black vents--especially on the light colored cars--looked gimmicky; like the car was designed by a committee that used a J.C. Whitney catalog to find slap-on doodads.

Of the cars shown, I really, really like how the orange one looks with the body color spoiler and taillight surrounds. The only trim I would leave black/carbon flash on all color cars is the side fender vent piece and the rear diffuser below the exhausts.

To really clean up the look, GM should eliminate the grills on the vents.

i have a black 2016 but went with dark grey painted hood vents, side vents, and tail lights. i like it but i equally like all black on black.

me personally i'd rather have a different factory option than the ugly metallic dark grey rear bumper area.

I like the contrast between the white with black accents, body colored vents, not for me.

The colored vents really clean up the cluttered look of the standard vents. I've seen it on a Long Beach Red and I'd have to say that it was the absolute best looking C7 I've seen yet. There's already too many bolted on elements (rear spoiler)and the colored vents help offset the racer boy look. I wish they would offer a high wing rear spoiler on the ZO6 to complete a sophisticated GT look. Of course it would have to match the aero downforce of the existing Level one spoiler so as not to upset the high speed handling

That looks really nice on that Laguna Blue. I like those matching body color vents. So far, I'm not thinking of having mine painted, but it does look nice.

I think the black accents look better than the body colored accents. The body colored vents look ugly IMO!
