Yep. I took mine in last week for an oil change at my dealer and they took care of that. Just a computer modification.

FYI... I asked about that oil life indicator. They said to basically ignore it. Go by mileage.
They said a lot of their customers have over 200,000 miles on their Vette and they never look at that indicator. Just go by the mileage. Especially if you're using Mobile 1 Synthetic.

Uhm, no. The OLM programming does a lot more than count miles to let the owner know when it's time to change oil.

Did you check your blinker fluid too?

Your dealer is an idiot and doesn't know what they're talking about.

We NEVER had those oil life indicators years ago and my Vettes lasted for miles and miles.
Why is it so different now? Could it be the oil companies had something to do with this???

Methinks you don't know what you are talking about - http://www.edmunds.com/car-care/stop...-your-oil.html

No doubt you'll say "But this is a vette - it's a high performance car therefore... yadda, yadda, yadda". I'm not buying it.

I assume you've swapped the factory tires out for bias ply tires, right?

No, oil companies had nothing to do with it. It's called technology and progress. And before you believe the stupid advice your dealer gave you I'd suggest reading the Owner's Manual so you don't void your warranty.
