Default Hud ???

Can you add HUD to a C7 after the fact?? Aftermarket???

It is possible and has been done before, but it is quite the task and not for the faint of heart.

From what I have seen you almost have to completely remove the dash and most of its components to install it. It's a job for only the very experienced automotive mechanic.

Its not like a C6 which was fairly easy to do, the C7s its a major complimented job just get one with it.

There is someone on this forum who performed this mod. As mentioned, is was pretty involved, and he had to practically gut his interior, BUT, he proved that it can be done. Try the search feature... I remember seeing his thread not too long ago.

Edit: FWIW, the HUD is one of my favorite features... some might not like it, but I certainly do, and seldom look down at the dash. It's far improved over previous gens, and the display is clear and vibrant.

The last time this came up a forum member recommended an after market system that, while not as complete or as good as the factory, is a plug and play and was not very expensive. In the same thread it was said that installing the factory system is extremely difficult and not worth it considering the aftermarket option. Try the search function. This thread is not more than six months old.
