Infotainment cubby jammed
Recently took my 15 Z51 on 3600 mile trip 7 states. Left California headed to Jellystone Park. Used the cubby to store my wallet and cell phone Samsung G5 no cover. Got to the park and was getting out from one of my many stops, the screen would not go down but about an inch. After sticking my fingers in the cubby I discovered that the phone had turned perpendicular to the screen and was catching on the top lip of the retracting screen wedging the phone and preventing the screen from fully retracting. After playing with the screen for about 10 min I was able to finally get fingers under phone and lift up edge. Seen works fine but I store my phone in center console now

I've had this happen to me also. At Carlisle this summer, a seminar on all the C7 electronics related systems (Nav, Infotainment, Dash etc) was given by a C7 Master Tech. Part of what he emphasized from the beginning was not to load up the cubby to capacity. Especially with things like small cloths, paper, coins and items that could shift and due to their size potentially jam the door. I now go by that advice.

You are right and you are wrong. There are campground family parks with a Jellystone theme all over the country.

Sure, it's a very easy DIY, and if it's just the fun of doing it yourself, that's great. I enjoy projects like that too. But after reading that thread, if someone is worried about spending $40, they should probably not be driving a Corvette.
A lot of people don't have table saws, glue guns, etc. The $40 steel pro version, which is also covered in felt on top, fits a lot tighter than most DIY versions ever will and wastes less space.

I'm not worried about the $40. I simply take pride in a dims project when I am able to. Does not take a table saw to cut a license plate. Sprayed mine with plasti dip. No one sees it but me anyway.

Yes, but we want to see it, and as they say your "post is worthless without a picture."

My pictures aren't worth a darn.

OK, but I think the point was to keep your screen from jamming up from junk flying around. The Bin Buddy architecture, front lip, slope, and super-tight fit makes that highly unlikely.
$40 is just a tank of premium fuel, which doesn't last long given the way I drive a C7 @ 16-18 miles/gallon.

My cubby is neat and has a built in shelf! I like what you guys did but my radio control head takes up most of the room and I try to keep the junk to a minimum in there.

I used the term Jellystone park just to see how many remembered Yogi and Bobo. The cubby buddies seem like a good idea however you make it. Maybe a cloth bag with pull string and velcro would also help with this problem

Wouldn't be an issue if GM had designed it right from the get go with a slight backwards slant to the compartment floor. How hard would it have been ? It looks to be made of injected molded plastic.
