Default Confused about Z51 model #

I thought the model code was 1YX07.

I'm looking at a used 2015 3LT (Z51 I think) coupe and the place has a photo of a decal that I guess is somewhere on the car. It's called the "Service Parts Identification" along with the vin... says 1YY07 yet it has codes saying FE4, Z51...etc. the pics of the wheels show the slotted discs.

So I'm confused. Is this a Z51?

Sounds like it is. Check for an oil tank on the right side towards the firewall (dry sump engine), tire size should have 20" wheels on the rear and 19" on the front, slotted brake disks are Z51 equipment. (So called base car has; 19" rear wheels and 18" fronts, just a void area where the oil tank would be and solid brake disks)

Also look for black wires coming out of the top of the shocks, a sure sign that it is an FE4 ( MSRC ).

My 2015 is the same way. It's a Z51, but the code reads "1YY07" (Base Stingray Coupe). Then I have the Z51 RPO code and all the components for a Z51 (Dry sump, etc.). Not sure why it's like that.

Huh. Okay. I was bummed when I saw the 1YY07. But obviously confused with the "decal" that has all the codes you'd expect for a Z51.

It certainly looks like a Z51, yes, the bigger wheels, slotted brakes etc.

It definitely has "Z51, FE4" in the laundry lost of codes. I'm away from home till the end of the week so I can't go check it out yet.

She's a black 2015 3LT Z51 M7 with red interior. Need to take it for a spin. 15,000 miles

My 2014 Z51 is the same way. But - the VIN is on the Service Parts Identification Label and decodes properly to Z51 2LT manual transmission.

See VIN decoders in sticky notes:

Where is this decal located in the car? I'm looking at another used Z51 but it's not at a Chevy dealer. Trying to find out a few things about it. If I can get the guy to send me a pic of that decal, that'll be what I need.

The Service Parts ID label is under the back end of the rear carpet just above the rear fuse box and battery.

Pull the carpet back carefully from the right rear corner. It is easy to crease, tear, or otherwise damage the carpet.

Ok. Just got the build sheet for this other Z51. It's a 2016.

There's no "FE4" code. So...no MRC?

Correct. You should see a different "FE" code - Z51 without MRC is FE3.

Many of the RPO codes are listed in this thread:

That's because Z51 is an option to the base coupe not a stand alone model.
