The Boxster S is a great car...if you have a female reproduction system!

They spend many millions in marketing their vehicles and all it takes is some crappy dealers to send it all up in smoke.
It's important to note Tesla does not have dealers...they sell direct.
I'm sure a lot of their strategy is to avoid the pitfalls of having a middle man.
BTW, Cadillac is offering dealers a buy-out option for those who can't cut it.

Continuing off track... The Tesla business model also appears to be working out as well.

Heel & Toe
Here is a video from the local drag strip of a new 2017 718 Boxster S (It's the second race starting at the one minute mark):
That's an 11.908 1/4 mile with a 1.741 60' time. The 2017 718 Boxster is much faster that the earlier Boxsters.
Depending on if the GS in the other lane has the Z07 package with the Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires or not, the GS should be plus or minus a tenth at the end of the 1/4 mile.

Anyone making the choice between a GS and a Boxster S?
Currently have a 2013 427. Previous Vettes 2007 C6, 2003 C5 and 1974 L82.
All manual verts.
All purchased new with one Museum Delivery. Awesome by the way.
Was toying with the idea of waiting for mid engine in a few years - still love my 427 though. Just ready for a new car.
As it appears that the mid engine will be auto trans only and I only want a manual. My Suburu and Wrangler have autos. That's enough. I have been thinking about the Porsche. Similar price.
Any thoughts?

Melting Slicks
I've owned three C6 Vettes and test drove a C7Z51 before I bought my fifth Porsche, a Boxster 981S. New C7 is light years ahead of the C6's I owned but personally could not get past the looks of the rear end. I don't care about lap times and don't street race, so the BoxsterS suits me (and many others)perfect.
Won't disparage anyone from buying either car as they are both amazing machines with tremendous engineering. However, your comments just illustrate one of two things....you are either just a Vette fanboy or very insecure in your "manliness". Or both.
