Three Dings - what is my car telling me?

Any well designed system has a message that goes with a sound. Why make people guess for this kind of money?

I'll have to agree, this does not sound like any chime my car has ever made.

Wish I could help, but that is new to me!

usually 3 chimes is backed up by a what's causing it on the DIC.
And I'm with others, my chimes don't sound like that at all and they're closer together.

Just a guess....
Go into the DIC (steering wheel controls) and go to "Settings". Scroll through and see if the "Speed warning" is enabled. I've never enabled it so I don't know what it does when you exceed the speed limit. I've never heard the 3 slow chimes the OP is getting.

Are you using Android Auto or Apple Car Play?

The warning chimes the C7 has are both faster, and higher in tone.

If you listen to the OP's video carefully, each chime is 2 notes played together, not the single note of a normal C7 chime

I have my iPhone connected via Bluetooth and plugged in the console to charge. When the dings occur I do look at my phone to see if I got mail or a text, but nothing. It's a 15 so no CarPlay.
I did check the speed warning, it is off.
I am thinking maybe it is something with my phone but I also turned the stereo off in the car and the sounds still happen. I may just turn my phone off and not plug it in tomorrow and see if the sounds are still there.

Didn't drive yesterday, it was raining and didn't feel like washing it after.
So this morning, I noticed when I left the house, the blinkers were not making blinky noises, and the dings did happen twice. I had my iphone turned off when this happened, so it's not my phone. I stopped for starbucks with my kid and when we came back out the blinkers were working fine again. Dealer is down the street from my kids school so after dropping her off, I went by there to see what they thought.
One of the techs listened to the video and said he wasn't sure what the noise was either. We thought maybe it was related to the blinkers not making noise, but when I left the dealer, the blinkers were working and the dings still came back. They were too busy to take my car in to check it out so I'll have to make an appt to have it looked at. There are no codes, it has a full tank of gas, tires are all at 32psi, oil life is at 60%, can't think of anything else it would be trying to tell me.
I may go in next week to have them plug their stuff in and take a deeper look than what my generic code reader can do.

Because we don't need the word "HORN" displayed on the HUD when you press on the center of the steering wheel? LOL. J/K.
