Default Stingray Chevrolet, Florida

I got a chance to see Stingray Chev! Unfortunately it was about 10:30 PM while traveling from Jacksonville to Sarasota. Can someone here tell me if the lot is filled with Vettes?? Any chance someone local around exit 22 😄 Might be able to take a pic that I could see just how many they have!
Just walking down by the bay here in Sarasota this afternoon after practice I saw about 4-5 C7's drive past me. I guess I could have given them a "wave" but I might have gotten flipped off wearing a Raider hat and t-shirt 😀😀😀

Agree...they are good folks. I was there last Saturday for their Vette / Chevy show...couple hundred Vettes so that may be why you saw more cars around. But they do move a lot of Vette....#6 in the country in sales if I recall correctly.

I will be thee this Saturday at 10am for the recall work.

I concur, bought mine there, had my first oil change there, and was very happy with the service. Took my car elsewhere, more convenient, for the second oil change, what a disaster.
Will be going back to Stingray for all other service.

My dad bought from there. I guess positive experience, but they do charge at least a $500 doc fee. In larger markets I guess you guys accept this fee, but I never will.

I've stopped in there while vacationing .. they have a really nice show room and service/parts area. And you can buy the Stingray Chevy shirts the employees wear for $10 ... they are pretty nice shirts.

Great folks at Stingray. Bought my wife's 2016 SS Camaro there and it went great. Initially ordered my 2017 Z there, but they were having trouble getting an allocation (no one was sure why, except they may have too many 16s still on the lot) so I ended up cancelling that order and getting it through Criswell/Furman.

But bottom line: I would definitely buy another car at Stingray, and plan to take both of our cars there for service, despite the fact that it's a hike from my place. People come from all over because they actually have a quality service department, unlike plenty of other dealers.

Their oil change area is neat. The car owner can stand there and watch the entire process. They have service guys in the pit, below, and service guys at driveway level. Really clean, too.

Bought my new '13 silver GS from them. Didn't buy my '16 from them, but would buy from them, again.

I was there as well for their show. Nice collection and many new Grand Sports. Interestingly though, only one manual transmission in stock that my friend wanted to test drive and it was the lowest cost, base 1LT Stingray.

I was there last winter, love the name of the place and they have lots of awesome cars, some higher end ones too like a Mclaren. The one I remember the most was a matte purple Z06!

They gave me an estimate on my C5 that made me cry. But I got a really cool hat:

Kinda makes sense doesn't it ! it's Florida and the average age is probably way up there... old people may not like using the clutch as it bothers their left knees... and shifting... well the tennis elbow and rotator cups don't like shifting...

I'm 57 and starting to feel it myself...

( i'm sure that there are lots of older folks that can still shift but i'm sure there are more now that don't )

#7 in the Country for Corvette Sales....They always have a large selection of Vettes in Stock. As far a Doc fees are concerned .... they are called DEALER FEES in Florida and are nothing more than PURE PROFIT for the dealer......However, they are capped at $75 Dollars for Retired Vets and GM Employees.

And they did not disclose this dealer fee until it was time to do paperwork on his car. So, always ask about all fees associated with the future purchase.

The salesman will tell you that it's law to charge such a fee, but if you read the law in FL I think it states the dealer must charge the same fees to everyone. Doesn't say you have to charge a fee. A dealer can charge no fee to everyone, which in the case of FL is probably unlikely.
