Z51 LT1 CAI options. Need input.
I prefer OEM parts when possible. On my LS3 Camaro, I have the Z28 OEM intake (dyno numbers between 11 and 16 RWHP). Millons spent by GM on R&D, proper fit and finish and function are main reasons for my OEM preference.
If the CAI subject has been beaten to death around here, my apologies for bringing it up again, please bear with me.
With that said, for a 16 z51 LT1, what would you recommend? I see a ton of AFE around here. Fair to assume you guys are fans? Other options? Leave it alone?

The AFE cai was dyno tested by a member here at ~10 hp gain. It's up to you if that's significant on this car. I bought a used one, put it in and couldn't feel it. Some people say they can hear a change in sound, but I couldn't make that claim.
As a stand alone mod, I would say pass, unless you like the way it looks in your engine bay. If you have a plan for more hp that a cai can be a part of, then I'd recommend figuring out a goal first, then adding parts to reach that goal. Just my two cents.

Thanks. I think I'll pass at this time. I have my 1LE to tinker with, but will leave the vette stock. I've lost count of how much I've sunk into the Camaro, not doing that with the vette(of course, easier said than done)

From what I hear, it's kinda useless as a stand alone mod, you have to do a few other things in order to really reap the benefits.
