Had mine done this morning, in and out in half an hour. No issues.

Not planning to take ours back since we trade it in very shortly once our GS arrives, and we will let the dealer take care of what additional repairs need to be done.
Recall letter is very confusing.

I had mine done and still got the letter a few weeks later...checking with the dealer that did it....said to disregard the letter. BTW....for all those wanting to get it done...you DO NOT have to bring it to a Chevy Dealer. I brought mine to a Buick/GMC dealer and was treated like ROYALTY. Any GM dealer can do the update. In fact they did all 3 updates that showed on their computer that had to be done to my car.....And, more importantly, they took me right in....did not have to schedule an appointment weeks in advance like all the Chevy dealerships in my area wanted.

Shouldn't be a problem - hopefully they'll look at it as a chance to earn your future business.

Got the recall done this morning and all is well now. The instrument display did not change as the driving mode changed, but the dealer showed me the settings screen and how to reset it. I give the service writer a

Got the letter but since everythig works perfectly now, i will not rush to get this done since I don't like fixing things that aren't broken.

I'd suggest that "everything" doesn't work perfectly. IF you get in an accident, airbags may not deploy.

The problem with the airbag recall is that you can't tell if it's "working perfectly".

Yep, if you're in a serious accident, you may never know that "everything works perfectly" because their failure to deploy could kill you.

I was anticipating one the other day. I was stuck behind a guy driving obnoxiously slow on the freeway. I passed him on the left lane and looked over through his untinted windows. I found him looking to the side, watching watching a video on his phone in landscape mode. I quickly sped away from that idiot. Good thing I did my recall months ago.

Got mind done yesterday and everything went smooth.. Didn't disturb any settings like others have said happen to them. You have to ask and confirm that your dealership has certified Corvette technicians in my opinion.

BTW - My dealer found another recall (37030) that I haven't received any letter yet for and perform that fix as well... Great Dealer!.... It's for the Seats and Heat/Ventilation.

Well I just got back from the dealer and as far as I could see no problems with seat/mirrors.They had the car for a little over a hour and that time included a free oil change. As the car will be going away for 6 months as soon as I can wash it, if there is any problem I will find it next year. SM did say most people do not have problems!

Distance from dealer is about 25 miles and it was raining heavily and we have had sub zero nights on and off for a couple weeks so I was not to adventitious, knowing what tires are on car.

The only funny thing I noticed was when I started the car when leaving the dealer it said top not fully lowered, so I held on to the the button and made sure it was fully seated on windshield. That message was strange as the car sat in my garage with top down till I put it up this morning and it made the right noises and the dash said top operation completed. I stopped for gas after I left the dealer and no funny messages were displayed.

Glad to hear all went okay, except that message for your top. I read in another thread somewhere some others had issue with that as well.
You're lucky it's somewhat *warmish* today with the rain and hopefully it washed away that crappy slurry they used on the roads.

Well you certainly got lucky last year. Good chance my next driving adventure will be snow plowing with my 4x4 PU.

Be well-

Based on prior experience with dealers, I cringe at the thought of an appointment for the recall. As to folks deciding whether to do immediately, soon, or not at all...it's for an airbag, kinduva BIG DEAL. I'm diving in.

Last week I made an appointment to get my oil changed and the recall done. Called in the afternoon and they took me in the next morning and everything was done in just over an hour.

Ok- not sure why my dealership has had my car since 9am this morning, and claim they will need the car until at least tomorrow afternoon.
WTF??!!
Based on the posts, sounds like it should be a 30-60 minute fix.

UGH.
Need to find another service place in San Diego.
Courtesy Chevrolet isn't very courteous.

Are they recalling only the C7 's?
