Hey guys,
I'm coming from a Mustang life, for now I've never had any Vette in my life and for the first time I am seriously considering it but I only have a limited budget (~70k or less).
My current Mustang GT is modified with a TVS S/C and I have more than 650rwhp; I really like the power and I don't feel it's too much.

My use for the Vette will be a street car and sometimes even street races. Not planning to track it.
I'm currently debating between 3 options and I'd like to hear what do you think is the most suitable for me, from your perspective.
1. Get a 2017 GS (maybe with Z07)
2. Get a 2017 GS and add a S/C.
3. Get a 2015-16 Z06 (probably 1LZ for my budget).

If you are asking me to spend your money than it's get the Z06. But if you don't need 650 HP than it's a no brainer, get the GS and save the money.

The thing is that I'm not sure how powerful and strong the GS actually is, since I've never owned a Vette. I can certainly tell you that 460 HP for a Mustang is not enough for me. For a Vette? I can't tell

How would be a Supercharged GS compare to Z06?

To answer your question, street race, no track, definitely get Z06. IMHO. They are lots of super deals out there right now.

Also adding a SC to a GS will void the warranty and resale value.

For your use Z06. You don't need a Z07 package.

1/4 = Z06
Track = GS/Z07

If you're going to supercharge a GS just get the Z.
I will be in the market soon and was thinking of doing the same thing.
Why void the warranty and I rather have the internals in the motor specifically built for a supercharger.

Since I'm outside US, the warranty is not relevant to me and I thought that supercharged GS would be even lighter but your point regarding the motor does make sense.

Can I buy front splitter and rear spoiler if the Z07?

2016 z06 prices are too good to pass up. It makes much more sense.

If there is one thing I've learned from these forums it is you should NEVER look back. I'm a little scared to ask why, but clearly "looking back" is not a good thing.
