Default Side Skirts

Im thinking of getting side skirts for my NRB vert. The prices are all over the place from 300 to upwards of 2500. Id like to spend 5-700 on a decent set. any recommendations? Prefer something black.
thanks in advance

I bought mine from C7 Carbon they are the GTX skirts. Great price and quality, many here on the forum have purchased from them.

Does anyone have any side skirts that are painted body color? Specifically Torch Red???? Debating on adding them to my Stingray, but wondering if the black or body color would look better?

Do these take a beating down low and get chipped up badly?

Yeah, Side skirts look good. Better when they come with the car. I thought about it and decided not to go thru the hastle of putting them on. Drilling and taping on sill. I decided that I would do the 3M protectant from the strike along the bottom of the door. Looks great, no hastle, cheep compared to the expense of skirts.

What exactly is the 3M protectant? Are you saying you used the same skirts that require drilling, but you used the 3M tape to hold them instead, or there is another type that only requires the 3M tape?

Mine are bolted on front and back using the factory bolts. The middle part is held on with 3M tape. 3M VHB tape is tough stuff. As long as you properly prep the area where the tape goes and apply the tape correctly, I doubt they will come loose.

What width size did you use for the tape?

I think he's saying he put 3m protective film on rather than buy skirts.

The tape was already applied to the skirts by the manufacturer. I just needed to peel off the other side before attaching it to the rocker. It was the same width as the roll of 3M VHB tape I have on hand, which is about 1" wide.

If you have any doubts regarding 3M VHB tape, you might want to read this:

WHY PAY MORE?
GM splitter > APEX skirts
GM high wing spoiler > $200 shipped

Can someone with a Torch Red Stingray with Chrome wheels post a picture if you have added the side skirts? I want to see what my car would look like with them before I order....I see that RMI sells them in all colors. I like the ones that curve in towards the middle better than the ones that are straight. I'm thinking about getting the Torch Red painted ones so they blend in, but being an ex-painter and perfectionist, a little worried about the paint quality and the match to my car.

Well this isn't a stingray but you might get an idea how it looks. These are ACS composite skirts
