Default Seems like all the big discounts are in the North and NE area.

Been searching for a new vette, but it seems like all the discounts are located in NE a N area of the country. Could not find any dealer in Houston that would even come close to the prices of the dealers posting on this forum.

Buy one from a forum dealer and do a courtesy delivery. Or better yet, fly there and drive it back, though that could be dicey this time of year.

it's cause in Texas, we don't have to put our cars away for the winter. They are offering deals, cause most people won't buy this car in the winter months.

I always get the northern price and start shopping it in my area. Worked when I bought my 2016 stingray. I am doing same thing now that I am looking at 2017 GS.

Can't speak for the dealers in TX but a lot of dealers in FL have plenty of 2017 Vets on their lots. Supply vs demand. Get a printout showing the prices at one of the Forum dealers and see if they will come close to matching. All they can say is no. You can also purchase the car from a forum dealer and have it shipped to TX.

I'm from Houston as well and found the same thing as you. I ended up buying a certified pre-owned 2014 Arctic White 2LT with 6k miles in Dallas for $47K. It still smelt brand new and the previous owner babied it.

I have been searching for a base corvette with A8 and black badge and wheels in Torch Red.
There's only 1 base 2016 Stingray 1LT with A8 in the metro Houston area. Sticker is $58715.00 I have been offered 49633 +ttl which makes it $53,200 drive out. Is that a good deal on a 2016 with special tag?

check out boardwalk in the san francisco area. Forum sponsor and has some huge discounts on left over 16's and some pretty good ones on 17's. Tim Boone is great to work with as well, very knowledgable.

Bonus tag is 10% on '16 Corvettes. So, looks like $5872 bonus tag (10%) and $3210 dealer discount. I think with some more negotiating the dealer could shave another $1500 to $2000 off.

I'd bet you could get the same thing in a '17 for less $$$ from Kerbeck among others.

Well, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the vette. I was going to trade in my Limited Crossfire Roadster, but the wife said why don't I just keep it and start a collection.

So now I have 2 sports cars in the garage.

I got my 2016 Z51 2LT with the second glass top in New Hampshire at 22% off the sticker, a $16k difference. Could not say no to that.

For a 58,715 MSRP, yes the discount to 49633 is pretty good. While that's only 15%, you should note that the lower optioned Corvettes do not have as much wiggle room as those with lots of options. If you move to a 2017, even at one of the big forum dealers, you'll pay more. Kerbeck has a car with an A8 at a similar list price discounted to 52K. Considering that you'll have to travel to buy it, it may not be worth it.
I think you did the right thing buying the local car.

Default Dejavu !!

Great looking car, I just bought the 'exact ' same car up here in Canada. Just waiting for the blizzard to clear the area to take delivery from 800 miles away. your pictures of your car are better than any of the pictures I have seen of my own car . I managed 20 % discount on my purchase. Unheard of around these parts in the past.
