Default So it's going away .............

One of the C7's had to go and it sure as hell wasn't going to be the Z06 ! . Sooooooo . . . . . I bought a new V sedan from Cadillac. Now at least there won't be any fights between the grand kids over which one gets to ride in grandpa's race car. They can both sit in the back seat and giggle at their nanah as she screams and flails her arms when I take the corners at mach 2. Life is good ............

Had to do something. We have the grand kids during the summer and most holidays during the school year. I was getting squeamish renting cars to go on vacation.

It's still at the dealer (actually, on the transport). I have to get the headers and the CAI off the Stingray before I take it to them at weeks end. Wish the V were at the house. The cold damp weather in TX is taking its toll on my arthritis. The twists getting into and out of the Z06 hurt like hell.

Any plans for the V?

We sell a bunch of performance products for that car too.. Would be a shame not to turn that car into a 700 whp+ beast :P

It will stay stock for now. I want to get a feel for it before I start bumping things upward.

You'll love the V. I had one with the M6. I miss it.

Congrats Mike.

From everything I've read it sounds like a great sedan.
More importantly, it's another modern day Cadillac beauty...far ahead of its German rivals.
Love the Cadillac "Art and Science" design aesthetic...unique and instantly identifiable as a Caddy.

Before my Z06, I had a 2012 CTS-V Coupe and absolutely loved the car.
When all is said and done, it might go down as my all-time Fav.
Was sad to see it go (still miss it), but I was out of garage space.
I never had a problem with it...very good fit & finish, smooth driving, and GREAT handling (despite being a 4,100 lb. car).
Heck, even the sound of the thing was better than my Z.

Hope you enjoy your new baby.
Please share your impressions of her with us if you can.

I thought the old C7 was now your son's after you bought the ZO6 in September? Too many C7s then? Big problem! Ha! I bought my first new Cadillac 42 years ago. I think they're making one of the finest cars on Earth again. I know you'll like it!

Nice job that V3 is an amazing machine. I had 2 V2's prior to my Vette and they were great cars.

There is more than one "V" Cadillac. Let's clarify which one it is.

It has become his daily dd. With him commuting from just outside Waxahachie to Waco for college 4 days a week, and then going in the opposite direction to his p/t job at Costco in Cedar Hill he's been racking up mileage. The Stingray became the sacrificial lamb. Once I take delivery this coming weekend, he knows that he has to start driving the S40 Volvo. It only has 40K on it and is in excellent shape. He can drive the Z to his cars and coffee gtg's and to take his lady out on dates. Or, to take his daughter to soccer games, dance class, etc. It has 18 k on it in the 6 mos since bought new in Aug. It needs to sit some and not be driven into the ground.

Not the Sport ! Hell, even the V6TT in the ATS-V is faster.

Yes, I'm well aware of that. There is a CTS-V, CTS V Sport, and ATS-V. So I'm guessing you got the CTS-V. I hate you! . Good news for me is that I still have two motorcycles that are faster, but did I mention that I hate you?

"You're not getting my Bud Lite !" It is the full blown CTS-V. The deal was too good to pass up. It's going to be a long week till Friday when it comes off the transport from Lansing. I had to do it thought. My lower back issues are not getting better with age. This way I will be able to extend my Z06 ownership and not have to cut it off abruptly as I once feared.
